The habit of blocking out time for highly focused work is one I saw in the people I wrote about in REST, and which #4dayweek companies often apply at scale. Lots of very creative and prolific people will have a couple hours in the morning (often two 2-hour bocks with a break in between) where they get up early minimize distractions, and do some of their best work. Likewise, one of the things I teach #4dayworkweek companies to do is design schedules that let everyone do this. Making it a collective practice means that each person enables and supports everyone else’s focused time.

As we approach the end of another working week, I've been reflecting on endings. Either with the ending of a coaching engagement, or the week itself, endings are a natural part of growth. I've discovered that endings with clients can be such a positive experience for me and my clients. It’s also a moment to celebrate the progress they’ve made and for them to focus on the future. Each ending is a stepping stone to new beginnings, for both them and me. It’s a chance to reflect, learn, and recharge before taking on the next challenge. It's a privileged to witness my clients' transformations knowing they’re better equipped and have the resources for the road ahead. It also provides the space for new beginnings and client engagements. Here comes another stellar employee recognition! Let’s give a big 👏 for our Pathlete, William Holcomb! When William joined our team, he made an instant impact. We can always rely on him to roll up his sleeves and give our clients the white glove treatment! 🏆 Get to know more about William below. ❓ What do you do at Blue Sky eLearn? As a Technical Success Manager, my role involves supporting anything that involves integrating Path LMS with our client’s environments. I assist our clients with new integrations, enhance their current integrations, or identify any bugs that may exist. I work closely with our integration engineers and process these changes through our internal ticketing system where development and testing can take place. ❓ What is your favorite part about your job? I think my favorite part of my job is interacting with clients on calls, especially when there is good news to share, or a project is being completed! It goes without saying that I also enjoy interacting with my team, but I tend to take that for granted because this company hires such great people and we all seem to gel nicely.

 ❓ What does being a Pathlete mean to you?  It’s really humbling for me because I know I’m fully immersed in what I’m doing and striving to make the company better, but so is everyone else. So, being chosen by my peers is very special and highly motivating as well! ❓ What do you like to do for fun outside of work? When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, golfing, jogging, biking, and spending time with my family! It’s always fun to experience things with your kids that you’ve done before, but they are doing for the first time, as well as new experiences together!

We love to keep our remote teams engaged and active together. 🚶 One unique initiative we take pride in is our step challenge. Unlike traditional step challenges, ours are virtual walks that mix teams from different parts of Europe, fostering connections and engagement across borders. This year, Maureen Owens, our Curriculum Manager, couldn't join the step challenge as she was on her third Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Instead, she walked from Santiago to Finisterre Lighthouse, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and local beverages along the way. As I am now well and truly settled back into a routine that is familiar to me, the days I do have off can be spent with less thought about all the things on my to do list. Feeling organised and ahead of the game is always where I like to be. There are always things that crop up so by preparing for things as much as I can in advance gives me the wriggle room that is so often needed. I’m very excited to share that yesterday marked the start of my new position as a Notion Creator Intern for STAYJUSTINTIME.COM! In this internship, I will be designing Notion templates and workspaces for StayJustInTime.com to be distributed to business professionals. StayJustInTime.com is an excellent company that offers newsletters to professionals seeking to understand the current business world, and they also distribute advanced Notion templates. This is the sector that I am going to be focusing on! Notion is a free software that provides professionals and students with the creative space to manage their organizational, educational, and professional needs. I have personally been using this software since I began college for organizing my life and note-taking. One of the biggest advantages of Notion is that users can purchase templates from third parties. These templates are often curated for specific niches and goals, and can be quite useful for Notion users. These curated Notion templates have been essential in my use of the software, and I am excited to help others this summer by designing my own! I want to extend a huge thank you to John D’Eufemia and Patrick D’Eufemia for this opportunity!
