One thing I love about my introductory psychology webtext is that it helps students create the habit of pausing *while* they read to check their understanding. But behaviors need to be reinforced in order to become habits, which is why assigning for credit is so important. Check out the data in this post to see *how much* this impacts students engagement.
Formative assessment can benefit all students when it’s assigned for credit. But don’t take our word for it. Download our free infographic to read the case study and see the eye-opening data. 👀 https://lnkd.in/e_kux2gs #highered #formativeassessment

Check out this new service from the Office for National Statistics which provides better visibility of subnational #statistics! MH&A
There was an exciting murmur this morning in the MH&A office – could it be today’s biscuit selection? Tom Pepper-Charles's dog back in the office? Some bank holiday gossip? Ah no – it came from our data team – so it’s bound to involve some maths 📊 The Office for National Statistics have launched a new service to provide better visibility of subnational statistics. Hoping to solve the issue of ‘reading across’ different data sets – you can easily select different datasets to compare, before it creates a map of local authorities for you. So yeah – not a dog or gossip – but a pretty cool idea. We’ll be using it to produce some interesting analysis over the coming weeks, so keep an eye out 👀 If you get 5 minutes today, give it a try: https://lnkd.in/eNwhQDC6

The report this week from the IFS into the GCSE attainment rates of children who used Sure Start centres has been stark. But why has it taken a quarter of a century for the data and analytics to prove the effectiveness of the policy? Read this week’s blog from David Harney to learn more about how data maturity can help decision-makers defend investments much earlier in the process: https://lnkd.in/e4hTzc6D
