Experts challenge BMI as sole measure of clinical obesity A landmark report from an international Commission of experts, published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology (Rubino et al., 2025: https://lnkd.in/eeA9TRXy), calls for a re-evaluation of Body Mass Index (BMI) as a standalone measure for assessing clinical obesity. Obesity pharmacotherapy This is a pharmacotherapy review of obesity management in adults. This review incorporates information from various sources, including the 2016 American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and American College of Endocrinology (ACE) Comprehensive Clinical Practice Guidelines for Medical Care with Patients with Obesity and the 2022 American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Clinical Practice Guideline on Pharmacological Interventions for Adults With Obesity. #obesity #pharmacotherapy #adult
