It’s emotionally draining having to educate, and re-educate people, having to face ignorance and bigotry. The emotional toll of activism for individuals with intersectional identities can be significant. We often face the burden of advocating for multiple marginalised communities simultaneously, which can lead to feelings of exhaustion, frustration, and burnout. Additionally, we may experience heightened levels of stress, anxiety, and even trauma due to encountering various forms of discrimination and oppression within society and sometimes even within activist spaces. Balancing activism with self-care becomes crucial for maintaining mental and emotional well-being but so much to do it’s not always easy to implement Sending love and strength to everyone advocating for and on behalf of marginalised, racialised , stigmatised and under served communities

Today marks National Coming Out Day It was inaugurated in 1988 by Robert Eichberg and Jean O'Leary. Their belief focused on the idea that homophobia thrived in silence and ignorance, and thus people are far less likely to perform phobic behaviours if they know someone who is LGBT+. Coming out is not always the easiest thing to do, nor is it always the safest, let alone the fear it can provoke.We cannot expect everyone to come out because of the net gain that can create. Instead for those who feel unable to come out, we must offer support and solidarity. Allyship for coming out is LGBT+ people supporting and educating, creating a safe environment for everyone, so that when people are ready they can come out and feel fully supported by us.    NCOD is a reminder of how much we as a community owe each other and need to create support systems for each other! #NationalComingOutDay #LGBTQIA+ #EqualityForAll #DiversityAndInclusion

Y: Applied at national/ federal level N: Not applied at all O: Applicable in some regions only. France is the only country that offers conversion therapy to its people. Spain is the country where work is in progress. The data set retains information on marriage equality, joint adoption, second-parent adoption, and more through its features. The features are utilized for computing the legal index of LGBTQ equality. The map is not a choropleth map but a type of filled choropleth map, as it doesn't use thematic colour to display quantitative information (enumeration units).
