Did you know that Marine Corps Logistics Integrated Information Solutions’ (LI2S-MC) Global Combat Support System--Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) now offers additional disadvantaged/disconnected capabilities that support users in disconnected modes? Here are four ways you can make updates in GCSS-MC without having a great internet connection. Desktop Integrated Framework (DIF) offers Excel-based forms that allow Marines to input minimal information needed to create/update Service Requests and easily download/upload to GCSS-MC on a low-bandwidth/high-latency environment. Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Low Bandwidth Marine Corps Logistics (DDIL MC LOG) uses a web and mobile application, cloud server, and Forward-Deployed Edge Servers to provide Marines with access to a set of GCSS-MC capabilities in a disadvantaged/disconnected environment.  Mobile Field Service (MFS) allows Marines to execute a subset of maintenance and supply functionality in “austere network connectivity” environments via a mobile application. When users cannot connect to GCSS-MC or if network connectivity is not robust enough to enable active transactional data entry, MFS stores data until network services are available. Email Mobile Query (EMQ) enhances the capabilities of GCSS-MC system for Marine Corps units by utilizing simple text email exchange using a .mil account. A user can initiate a query with one of 13 predefined seeded commands and receive an email with the requested information. The hate I'm receiving on Reddit 🫡 First things first, I’m not a foreign government collecting intel. Secondly, reviews on Rate My Skillbridge never get traced back to the service member; they remain completely anonymous. This platform is tailored towards service members. You can call me biased, but it's because I’m a service member myself. Third, I have never claimed I am DOD affiliated, but I can claim I created something that the DOD should have created a long time ago. Yes, people can post reviews about companies. It keeps companies held accountable. Also, if you’re saying that signing up with your email and creating your own password is a data security issue, my recommendation is to just stop using the internet entirely. However, despite my passion and efforts to help service members, there will always be someone hating on what I’m creating.
