Core Lane: Napa, CA to Dallas, TX As a California based logistics provider, we are well versed in wine transportation. This month, we want to feature another heavy wine and spirits lane as November/December are two of the most popular months of the year for alcohol consumption in the US. Not surprisingly, this makes Napa a heavy origin metro for us. One of our highest volume lanes out of Napa heads to Dallas, TX. Northern CA to Dallas lane is always a competitive lane, especially in the winter as weather becomes a factor and most carriers would like to stay on the southern side of the country (I20 & I40) which creates a demand issue for freight that is routed through the warmer side of the country. We have a strong base of refrigerated carriers who focus on the West Coast to Texas and back. Our carriers have their schedules and routes down to a T, and we know they’ll get our clients’ products into the South on time and in perfect condition. Another reason this lane is such a great fit for our mid-sized carriers is because a driver can go from CA to TX and back to CA without having to complete a 34 hour reset before returning. Making it an efficient lane for carriers focused on optimizing their time and resources. If Napa to Texas is a lane you manage, we would love to talk more about our carrier partners who service this lane, and how we execute professional, high quality coordination on this lane. #trucking #logistics #napa #wine #foodandbev #transportation #westcoast #midwest

January Top Lanes by Volume Breakdown While the month isn’t yet over, it’s pretty obvious already what our top lanes by volume will shake out to be. They are consistent with the geographical areas we are strategically working each month to build volume densities in, and the niche markets we target to serve. Here is what our teams have been busy operating: Fontana ➡️ Sacramento (commodity industry: reverse logistics) Napa Valley ➡️ So Cal, FL, NY (commodity industry: wine) Brownsburg, IN ➡️ Southern FL (commodity industry: reverse logistics) Upper Midwest ➡️ CA (commodity industry: refrigerated foods) We are always transparent about our areas of strength, while these top 4 lanes are not our entire network, they are a great representation of some of our strongest lanes and industries served. #logistics #trucking #freight #wine #foodandbev #reverselogistics #operations

Picture this... it’s Friday afternoon, work is finished, and you’ve just cracked an ice-cold beer. Have you ever wondered where that beer is brewed, or how it got to you? Well, let me put your mind at ease with both a great beer recommendation, where it’s brewed, and its journey to your fridge. Last week, I spent the morning at Australian Beverage Contract Filling Pty Ltd (AKA Hawkesbury Brewing Co) on the Central Coast. I learnt about regional supply chain headaches, manufacturing growth in the area, community connection, and, of course, where and how a delicious drop of Hawkesbury Brewing Co Pacific Ale is created. The innovative engineering that Adam Neale has commandeered to solve supply shortages, manufacture new products, and create a more sustainable production environment is incredibly fascinating. Unfortunately, with the Central Coast being classified as regional, the logistical surcharges are crippling to get product across Australia and the rest of the world. Luckily, with a growing need for regional logistics, community-focused freight forwarder Kane Dyson from Dyson Logistics Pty Ltd is really bridging this gap. An insightful morning, and to top it off we got to walk away with some delicious 4 packs for the road 😉 #supplychain #engineering #manufacturing #logistics #regionalaustralia

Two weeks ago, my head of operations & I made a site visit to a local food manufacturer here in Orlando. As soon as we asked for the person in charge of shipping we were introduced to the warehouse manager. After sharing what we do and asking a few probing questions, we got a follow-up meeting with the transportation manager for the following Tuesday. Here’s what we learned: they supply poultry, beef, and other food products to major restaurant chains like Popeyes, KFC, Bahama Breeze, Four Rivers & more. Their big problem was that their deliveries often didn’t include all the products the customers ordered. This meant they had to organize “redeliveries” of leftover product directly to the restaurants. This was very time sensitive freight. Some restaurants imposed heavy fines if the deliveries weren’t made within a few hours, forcing the manufacturer to drop customers like a Sonics in the past because they simply couldn’t meet the deadlines. Their company trucks were already stretched thin, and missing redelivery windows was hurting their reputation & loosing business. That’s where we came in. We didn’t just offer a truck we gave real solutions & options. We offered specialized reefer box trucks and sprinter vans with liftgates because it’s going directly to the restaurant into the conversation which solved all pain points they had. We knew how tough it is to source this kind of equipment quickly. We already built a strong network for that type of equipment and had the expertise to make it happen. Because of our approach, we didn’t just solve a problem—we built trust. Now we’re their go-to solution for redeliveries, and the door is open for us to take on other lanes. The takeaway? It’s not just about moving freight; it’s about getting in front of people, asking the right questions, and bringing real solutions. Over the phone, I might not have gotten this opportunity. But by being on-site, we gained insights you can’t get any other way. The freight is out there, but you have to work for it. Be persistent. Solve problems. And, most importantly, show up. #SiteVisits #Reefer #Boxtruck #Sprintervan #3pl #logistics #supplychain #poultry #transportation #problemsolving
