At the beginning of August, Keystone Training Ltd hosted a Drama-Based Learning day for our facilitators and actor-facilitators. Drama-Based Learning is a powerful technique that: 👉 Holds a supportive mirror up to participants' beliefs and behaviours. 👉 Gives a safe and low-stakes environment to have a go, get things wrong, and try again. 👉 Allows for gradually increasing amounts of stretch and challenge. 👉 Provides realistic skills practice in scenarios grounded in the participants' reality and development needs. It's great for leadership development, management development, safety leadership, EDI, handling difficult conversations, interpersonal or soft skills training, and many more topics. With experienced associates in the room and all the logistics of getting such a large group together, we knew it would be a challenge to get the day just right. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That's why we're delighted at the 5 star feedback we've been getting! What a great experience it was - roll on the next one! #DramaBasedLearning #Actors #ActorFacilitators #LearningAndDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment #SafetyLeadership #HandlingDifficultConversations #SoftSkills #InterpersonalSkills For those with screen readers, the comments in the document are: "It was the best gathering of likeminded professionals I’ve attended in years. Very positive, engaging, practical and lots of fun too!" "Well organised session, great content, and fabulous opportunity to reconnect with wider team and meet new associates." "Thanks again for a well-rounded and organised and fun afternoon! Really appreciated the investment and left feeling valued." "A rich, in-depth insight into the methods and approach to Drama-Based Leaning unique to Keystone. It was great to see first-hand the style, framework and also ethos behind these models."

Here’s a picture from our first day teaching in #Bromley and it was a wonderful day. Every single student contributed and the atmosphere was so energising! But a lot of important work takes place to get us to the first day of teaching, including discussions between us and the commissioning authority so that we can get to know each other and understand how #systemicsocialwork will support practice. We sometimes ask families the question, “what’s the best question we can ask you?” And in our first meeting with Bromley, I think one of the senior leaders asked me the best question: “what do you think staff need from us (as managers and leaders) so they can take best advantage of the training?” What a great start to this new training partnership!
