Over the last three days the R.T. Weatherman Foundation led a delegation of families of US vets killed in action in Ukraine and wounded in action US vets on Capitol Hill. The ask - sustain support for Ukraine aid. Or, in other words, don’t let Russia win. The five families shared stories of their loved ones. They told lawmakers why their sons joined the fight in Ukraine and how they willingly gave their lives for a cause they deeply believed in. They spoke of bravery, the horrors these men faced in the trenches, and the barbarity of the enemy. The wounded spoke about how US weapons are par none. Reliable and effective, one vet described in harrowing detail how cluster munitions saved his life. They gave insight into ammunition shortages, critical kit needed for victory, and the spirit of the fighter on the frontlines. In the spirit of Reagan, it is a time for choosing: “Alexander Hamilton said, "A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one." Now let's set the record straight. There's no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there's only one guaranteed way you can have peace - and you can have it in the next second - surrender. Admittedly, there's a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson of history tells us that the greater risk lies in appeasement… and it gives no choice between peace and war, only between fight or surrender.
