Congratulations to Trustee Bryant Garth, Distinguished Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, on the impactful release of The Making of Lawyers' Careers: Inequality and Opportunity in the American Legal Profession, published by the University of Chicago Press. This groundbreaking book delves into the intricate layers of social stratification within the U.S. legal profession, asking critical questions: "How do race, class, gender, and law school status shape the career paths of lawyers?" and "How do these professionals navigate such complex dynamics?" With over a decade of invaluable service on our Board of Trustees, Garth has co-authored this significant work alongside esteemed scholars including Robert L. Nelson, Ronit Dinovitzer, Joyce Sterling, David Wilkins, Meghan Dawe and Ethan Michelson. Their collaboration brings a fresh perspective to a pressing issue, making this a must-read for anyone invested in the future of the legal profession. https://lnkd.in/g3nN_cGN #nalpfoundation #legalcareers #research #legalprofession
