Alex Touma and Jack Weinert examine the history and key requirements of Colorado’s AI anti-discrimination law. Senate Bill 24-205 was signed by Governor Jared Polis on May 17 and will take effect on February 1, 2026. The law will create a mandatory regulatory framework for developers and deployers of “high-risk AI systems” that is designed to mitigate consumer harm and algorithmic discrimination. Our team lays out key requirements for developers and deployers when the law goes into effect. #AOShearman #AI
