Here's your reminder that Easter is THIS month! If you're looking for a couple of ideas on how to make the most of having visitors over the Easter period, here are a couple of quick wins that you could jump on: For the families visiting, get some fun activities happening! Easter egg hunts, egg painting or bunny ear making. Lean into what makes your destination unique - could you do an Easter Egg Hunt on a tractor? Egg painting of the local animals that make up your furry friends. For the foodies, think about cocktails, coffee, cupcakes and hot cross buns that can make mouths water! Maybe you can make a cocktail in an easter egg? Or a limited offer of coffee with Baileys. If you offer accommodation, have Easter Eggs ready for your guests as a personal touch, or some hot cross buns from a local bakery. If you have a family staying all weekend, maybe you could have an Easter Egg hunt set up for them ready to go! Don't forget to capture all the fun happening so that you can share it on social media and encourage your guests to do the same and tag you!

To Day is National BBQ day (US) Although the concept of barbecuing did not originate in America, the activity has become an essential part of American culture today. The history of barbecuing in the U.S. goes back to colonial times where any celebration was incomplete without a cookout. After the Revolutionary War was won and the first bridge was built over the Missouri River, barbecue celebrations erupted all over the nation. Even the American presidents are famous for hosting massive barbecues during times of success and on days of special observances. In fact, George Washington’s diary is said to have referenced a barbecue event that lasted for three days — that’s how deeply rooted barbecuing is in the country’s history! Barbecues are a White House tradition thanks to President Lyndon B. Johnson who started this trend by hosting the first-ever barbecue in the presidential headquarters. The food items served at the event included delicious Texas-style barbecue wings. #BBQ #foodandbeverageindustry #foodscience #foodbusiness #scienceandtechnology #sciencecommunication #barbecue #foodforthought #scienceeducation #cooking #cookingathome ##outdoors #outdoorliving #outdoorscooking #culture #event #food #America #infographic via Compound Interest | Chemistry infographics C&EN

Founder at WagIt 🐾 Paws Through The Doors campaigner 👊 Queen of online bookings 👑 Worked at three exited companies 💪 Am I raising? Yes, a glass to life and investment (SEIS/EIS) from anyone who believes in WagIt!
If you think your venue is obviously dog-friendly, think again. I know a pub called the Dog and Duck that doesn't allow dogs. And believe me, no dog parent likes going somewhere assuming it’s dog-friendly. It’s like going to a steakhouse and assuming they have vegetarian options. The issue also extends to staff. Sometimes, they don’t know whether dogs are allowed. Remember when that popular pizza chain didn't allow a service dog? Or, you might have a bar area where dogs are welcome, but you don’t want to promote it because people might assume dogs are allowed throughout the entire venue. I spend so much time searching websites to see if they mention being dog-friendly or calling the venue... How old school! Who calls these days? And if I had left it to my non-dog-owning friends, I wouldn’t have taken Lola anywhere! So, make it clear that you’re dog-friendly. I may have a tip for you — join WagIt. We make it easy for you and your dog-owning customers. PS - I just googled to see if BrewDog in New York was dog-friendly since not many places are, and was pleasantly surprised. They’re sticking to their promise! #hospitality #restaurant #dogfriendly
