Annual Gift Officer for The Gospel Coalition | Inspiring generosity for gospel-centered initiatives to spread Christ’s love and truth.
Welcome to Q4! During our staff retreat last week, someone shared a simple yet profound thought, and it hit me—an ‘aha’ moment: “If you try to do everything, you’ll accomplish nothing.” As we approach the end of the year, many nonprofits feel the pressure to launch all-out fundraising efforts. With the urgency of meeting financial goals, it’s tempting to take on multiple campaigns, messaging strategies, and giving initiatives at once. But doing too much often leads to spreading ourselves too thin—diluting our impact, overwhelming our team, and missing the mark with our audience. The truth is, a focused approach brings far greater results. Identify your strongest messaging, understand where your donors are most responsive, and prioritize the initiatives that align most with your mission and capacity. By narrowing your focus, you can make a more meaningful ask and inspire deeper connections with your supporters. Quality over quantity. Focused over frantic. As we look ahead to our year-end goals, let’s strive to be intentional with every effort and every message—turning our singular focus into lasting impact. #Fundraising #NonprofitLeadership #YearEndGiving #EndOfYearGiving #Nonprofit #DevelopmentLeadership #Philanthropy
