Peoples attitude and behaviors changed dramatically over past couple of years due to the challenges in the country affecting almost every organization in Sri Lanka. Ecomondo: best practices at the center for a more sustainable future for all. Valuing companies that implement sustainable change and sharing best practices is at the heart of our mission, but that’s not enough. We want to be active participants in processes that go beyond the fair: Sustainable Mobility: it's easy to reach the fair by train, thanks to the internal station of the Rimini Fair District, located on the Milan-Bari line. We also offer a free shuttle service from the city center and the airports of Rimini and Bologna. Additionally, we have increased the charging points for electric cars to minimize transportation emissions. Environmental Education: through our educational tours, we have involved 2,756 students from 58 schools in formative experiences that raise environmental awareness. Ecomondo Off: an off-site event in the city of Rimini, organized with Rimini Blue Lab, featuring cultural events to raise awareness among Ecomondo attendees and visitors about a new, conscious marine culture. Water Resource Management: we are part of the Water Defender Alliance and have funded the installation of a Trash Collector in the port of Rimini, with the goal of protecting and enhancing this vital resource. ISO 20121 Certification, which recognizes our commitment to the circular economy and motivates us to improve, ensuring that events are designed to reduce environmental impact and leave a positive legacy for host communities.
