Dilip Thakore and Summiya Yasmeen present the 25 anniversary issue of EducationWorld and ParentsWorld. The EducationWorld November 25 anniversary issue is talks about the past 25 years, the where the editors have diligently tracked, documented, and constructively critiqued the lackluster efforts of the Union and state governments to improve teaching and learning standards in pre-primary, primary, secondary, and higher education—sectors that have long lagged behind global benchmarks. The ParentsWorld November 2024 issue titled - Safeguarding children from toxic air pollution talks about exposure to toxic air causes respiratory infections, asthma, and developmental delays, which can cause lifelong disability and reduce longevity. https://lnkd.in/gugnVgFv

Some employers offer assistance & resources for higher education. BUT, how many employers offer free GED & ESL resources, especially onsite for employees? Seeing this post has made my day & further solidify why I choose to work for UMC. Lowering barriers & making education accessible helps create (better levelling & elevating) opportunities for employees. 😊
Please join us in congratulating Abbey Delozier, Irma Flores, and Destiny Garcia on their recent graduation from the GED Program! The partnership between UMC and Literacy Lubbock provides no-cost educational opportunities, including General Education Diploma (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) resources for our employees. UMC is the first employer to offer on-site classes through Literacy Lubbock, with sessions scheduled during shift changes to make attendance easier.

One step closer to finalizing the NCFP!
I'm back from a two-day workshop at the JIBC campus in New Westminster where we continued development of the NCFP Education and Practice Guidance. The workshop was full of encouraging conversations, sharing of ideas, and a desire to push paramedic education beyond current practice. We look forward to sharing the draft guidance document with educators across Canada in coming weeks. Grateful to Becky Donelon and her team for hosting us, and this amazing group of educators from across Canada!
