The Padel State’s Post

Given that he's a graduate of both Rice University and Georgetown University, I probably should have known that Gerardo Penchyna C. is someone who truly enjoys 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 any topic he's interested in -- and lately that topic is #padel. But I've got to say, over the handful of in-depth conversations we've had about the sport and its potential here in the U.S., I've been truly blown away by his willingness to ask difficult yet insightful questions -- rather than just seeking out easy, overly optimistic answers. I'm also very impressed by (and jealous of) the fact he's recently visited padel clubs and communities in Croatia, Mexico, Serbia, and the U.K. and will soon be visiting more in Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. So, when he asked if I'd consider publishing something he had written about what he's learned on his global padel journey so far, I was more than happy to accept. You can check out this just-published guest piece directly below 🔽 , and then please share your thoughts, your impressions, and your own difficult but insightful questions about the future of U.S. padel in the comments. Thank you for your contribution, Gerardo Penchyna C. -- and look forward to future conversations!
