Cluster framework we used in Dr content 👌 The topic cluster framework is a way to organize and link between related articles on a website. It makes it easy for both visitors and search engines to easily navigate between related content—other relevant articles are only a single click away. Every medical condition generally has a similar set of patient questions associated with it, making it easy to use similar content templates for many different medical conditions. This is a framework commonly uses with our healthcare clients. For most medical conditions, you can usually group your content into three topic clusters: pre-intervention, intra-intervention, and post-intervention #medical_content #SEO #Search_engine_optimization

Getting thousands of search results? You are probably running the wrong search! Literature searches that return thousands of results usually signal one thing: 𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. We see it often with juniors: Struggling to formulate a clear research question for their systematic reviews, they try to include as much information as possible. However, 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 ≠ 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. To conduct effective and useful systematic reviews for certification one needs the 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 information for the 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 question. Typically, systematic reviews for certification have one of two goals: 1) identify the information about the state of the art in medicine, or 2) identify the information about a specific device. For the first type of searches, one should select the 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 possible level of evidence: the state of the art, indeed. For the second type of searches one wants to target articles that mention the device name. In our experience, searches that have these objective usually return a limited and very manageable number of results. I hope it helps. Have a nice weeked. Cesare

A couple of years ago I was involved in an article where we analyzed the quality of online video sources for the treatment of lumbar disc hernias. (https://lnkd.in/dqP-5iv9) I’d now like to share our recent publication where we repeated a similar methodological approach to evaluating online video sources for medical recommendations, this time for distal radius fractures: https://lnkd.in/dQaVCQeX It is rather problematic that basically everyone can present him- or herself as a medical professional and publish anything on Youtube without any regulation, which makes it impossible to differentiate „good“ from „bad“ information. Short conclusion: Dr. Google, or in this specific case Dr. Youtube, are still no reliable substitute for seeing a medical specialist in person. 😉

Hello everyone! Sorry for the wait this last week! The Scientific Soiree Website has undergone a huge change: I have switched the account I used to create it. The website itself is still the same with some minor aesthetic adjustments, but accessing it has become much easier! Now, you can find the website by simply searching up "thescientificsoiree.com"! The new Scientific Soiree website is linked on my profile, and you can also click it right here: https://lnkd.in/gMyppXvY I will be deleting the previous website in a few moments to avoid confusion. If you are viewing one of my previous posts, please use this new link instead! Have a wonderful day!
