#September11: Remembering and Honoring. Today, September 11th, we commemorate the anniversary of one of the most impactful events in recent history. The attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City changed the world as we knew it, leaving an indelible mark on our collective memory. On this solemn day, we come together to pay tribute to the 2,977 lives lost and the thousands injured. We remember not only the direct victims but also their families, friends and all those whose lives were forever altered. 9/11 taught us about: 1. Resilience: The ability of New York and America to recover and rebuild. 2. Unity: How tragedy can bring people together beyond differences. 3. Heroism: The countless acts of bravery by first responders and ordinary citizens. As we reflect on this day, it's crucial that we keep alive the spirit of solidarity and compassion that arose from the ashes. In our workplaces and communities, we can honor the victims by continuing their legacy of courage and determination. I invite everyone to share their reflections and keep the memory of those we lost alive. Together, we can build a stronger, more united future. #NeverForget #Resilience #Unity

Founder & socially focused entrepreneur. Empower talent, banish bias & embrace humanness. Build unity, seek fresh thinking. AI, Neuroscience, Psychology & Consciousness for deep understanding of #HumanSkills #DeepLearn
Yes Lynne Franks OBE and in the currents of modern life, where the digital age has cast a wide net over the essence of human interaction, a notable shift in the collective psyche has emerged. This transformation, often characterized by an increasing tilt towards #narcissism, demands a closer examination, not through the lens of genetics, which has long been the focus of debates around human behavior, but through the nuanced and dynamic field of #epigenetics. Epigenetics, the study of how behaviours and environment can cause changes that affect the way genes work, offers a compelling framework to understand how our culture might be drifting further from the "felt presence of #experience." Our genetic makeup is like a vast, intricate library, filled with books that have been passed down through generations. These books, while fixed in their content, are not always read in the same way; the environment around us—the cultural air we breathe—acts as librarian, influencing which books are pulled from the shelves and how often they are opened. It's not the text itself that changes, but how it's read and interpreted based on external stimuli. And as we dive deeper into a world mediated by screens, where interactions are often filtered through layers of digital abstraction, the epigenetic effects on our behaviour become more pronounced. The constant bombardment of curated images and narratives on social media platforms feeds into a cycle of comparison and self-centeredness, fostering a culture where the value of an experience is often measured by its shareability and potential for validation rather than its intrinsic worth. This shift can be seen as an epigenetic response to our environment; our genes haven't changed, but the way they express themselves has nudged our behaviors towards more narcissistic tendencies. The digital echo chamber amplifies and rewards narcissistic traits, encouraging a detachment from the direct, unmediated experiences that foster genuine empathy and connection. The irony is stark: in an age of unprecedented connectivity, we find ourselves more isolated, caught in the reflection of our own curated personas, drifting away shared human experience. ‘We have a narcissism we can’t put down’. However, just as our environment and culture has led us towards narcissism, it can also steer us back towards empathy, connection, and experience. This requires a conscious effort to cultivate environments, both online & offline, that reward authenticity, vulnerability, and genuine engagement over superficiality and self-promotion. By recognizing the power of our environment to shape our behaviours and priorities, we have the opportunity to steer our collective ship back towards a culture that values the felt presence of experience over the superficial allure of narcissism. In doing so, we can rediscover the beauty of genuine human connection, grounded in the rich soil of shared experience and mutual empathy. #unity Yondur

As we mark the twenty-second anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, we pause to honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day and the countless others who have been affected in the years since. This day serves as a powerful reminder of both the profound loss and the resilience of our shared humanity. In remembering those who perished and the heroes who emerged from the chaos, we must also reflect on the values that bind us together as a community. Community means more than just coming together in times of tragedy; it is about supporting and uplifting one another every day, transcending divisions, and standing united against hate and discrimination. As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, let us reaffirm our commitment to rising above the prejudices that have emerged in the wake of 9/11. Anti-Muslim racism and intolerance have no place in our society. True remembrance involves not only honoring the victims but also ensuring that we do not perpetuate the divisions and hatred that this tragedy should have taught us to overcome. On this day of reflection, let us come together as a community, embrace the power of our collective voice, and strive to create a future where the legacy of 9/11 is one of hope, solidarity, and unyielding respect for all.
