What if we hired a Filipino Professional(s) already and we found out that we need accreditation through POLO in order to get our hired Filipino the clearance to leave the Philippines? Most employers outside of the Philippines are not aware that since the Labor Code of the Philippines was established in 1974, direct hiring is prohibited except through the assistance of an approved recruitment agency. This was established to protect Filipino workers. Employers are required to provide certain benefits in order to get clearance for the Filipino worker to leave the Philippines to work abroad. PHR is an approved and accredited agency to be able to help foreign employers. Going through POLO in Washington DC is one way to obtain this clearance, but the document requirements are so long and it could take months to go through this process. Contact PHR to ask for this service and assistance. We normally get employers accredited in 2-3 weeks from filing the accreditation application through PHR. Not only that, we can get an employer accredited for up to 3 years so they can hire as many professionals without going through POLO or another accreditation.
