But lately, I'm seeing job applications requiring (*) everything down to my street address and even my county! 🤷♂️🤷♀️ What's up with that? Is this really crucial info? Are we at a point where rejection letters will be hand-delivered to our front doors? 🚪📬 Is this the new trend in our wild job market? 📈 I'm genuinely curious. If someone out there has the lowdown on this, please enlighten me! 🌟💭 #RecruitingMysteries #JobApplicationPuzzles #HRInsights

Speaker | Career Coach & Strategist | Resume & LI optimization | I help professionals identify & own their value and transform them to be the compass to achieving the next level in their lives & careers.
I've been in the recruiting industry for 25 years and in that time I've been through some serious World/Market issues, 911, the crash of 2008, the Pandemic. And todays Market is the absolute worst! And no it's not because of the economy. The reason why its' the worst is because of PEOPLE, all parties, hiring managers, recruiters and candidates. I've never seen the amount of lack of empathy and human kindness in any of the above mentioned markets. Hiring Managers and Recruiters are definitely on a different playing field and it seriously needs to stop. Really treating candidates like they have no value, because some CEO'S want to not be in the red to its stakeholders. So the lazy answer is to lay-off hundreds. I've also recruited earlier in the year and the lack of response that I received from candidates both that applied and that I sourced is ridiculous. So if you are a hiring manager, a recruiter or a candidate, just try to remember we're all going through something and move with kindness, empathy and compassion. That's it, that's the post. The tables can turn quickly....and in the end we all want to be treated with respect, value and as we would treat others. Collectively, we can all make a difference....Remember you never know who you are ghosting, they could be your next big client or placement and you treated them like CRAP! The World is SMALL, especially here on Linkedin.... 😉 #careercoach #resumewriter #linkedinoptimization #ownyourvalue #confidencebuilding

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 Last week on someone's LinkedIn post, a commenter said he doesn't take calls from recruiters if he's happy in his job. 𝘞𝘏𝘖𝘈! How shortsighted! Your circumstances can literally change overnight—then what? There are so many reasons why it's always good to have an ongoing relationship with recruiters. 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝: Know your value in the market. 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬: You may not be interested, or it may not be the logical next step for you, but someone will be very flattered - and immensely thankful - if you refer me to them. You just might change someone's life by changing their career path. #BestFeeling 𝐁𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝: If your world is unexpectedly turned upside down by a job elimination, you'll have a recruiter you know and trust. 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: If you face an unexpected resignation on your own team, you'll have a recruiter you know and trust to get it filled quickly! #JobSeekers or #HiringManagers, starting now, answer that recruiter’s call and build those connections! Have a short list of recruiters who specialize in your niche that you trust. It’ll ensure you're always ready for whatever comes your way. Like me, most recruiters love what they do and even if I can’t place you, I can help accelerate your job search or recruiting efforts with lots of golden nuggets of information. 🌟 𝐀.𝐁.𝐂. = 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐁𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 #RecruitersMakeTheWorldGo’Round #Recruiting #Networking #CareerGrowth #RelationshipsMatter #JobSearch #Referrals

In the competitive world of #jobhunting, it's easy to lose sight of the ripple effects our decisions can have on others. As someone who has navigated the job market, I understand the excitement and relief that comes with accepting an offer. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the challenges faced by recruiters, especially in revenue-driven models, when candidates change their minds at the last minute. Accepting a job offer only to retract it before joining can significantly disrupt a recruiter's workflow and strain resources. In #revenuedrivenenvironments, where every #hire is crucial to meeting targets and driving growth, such last-minute changes can have serious implications. Let's remember the human side of recruitment and strive for transparency and professionalism throughout the process. #Empathy for the challenges recruiters face and clear communication about our intentions can help mitigate the impact of job offer rejections. Together, let's work towards a more respectful and understanding approach to #talentacquisition. #Recruitment #JobOffers #Empathy #Professionalism #HiringChallenges Flipcarbon: Strategy, Change, Consulting and Fractional CHRO

Is your current Recruiter slacking off? The honeymoon period is over and they’ve stopped wooing you. It’s time to feel the warm and fuzzies again. Let’s spice things up, ha. 98% of our job briefs are taken in person. The only exception is if it’s physically impossible to get there in the timeframe required. I can’t believe how many recruiters do all of this remotely, even openly bragging about it. If this is what your current agency is up to, you deserve better. It’s not a relationship it’s a transaction and a very simple and lazy one at that. You cannot possibly get a gauge on a cultural fit without going into a company, meeting their staff and getting a feel for the energy etc. I just cannot fathom it. ❤️❤️ #recruitment #recruiter #business #hiring

🔍📢 Feeling the Frustration: The Silence of Recruiters 📢🔍 In today's job market, reaching out to recruiters and companies can sometimes feel like shouting into the void. Recently, I've noticed a concerning trend: messages and inquiries often go unanswered, leaving candidates in a state of uncertainty and frustration. As someone who not only navigates the job market myself but also assists others in their job search journey, I've seen firsthand how disheartening this silence can be. Just last month, I helped a friend delve into job applications, treating it as a full-time position. They even invested in a premium subscription, hoping to boost engagement and increase their chances of landing meaningful opportunities. However, despite their proactive efforts and investment, the response rate from recruiters has been disappointingly low. Messages sent over a month ago still linger in the abyss of unread notifications. It begs the question: how can any candidate maintain confidence in their prospects when faced with such a lack of engagement from those in charge of talent acquisition? I'm curious to hear from others in the community: Have you encountered similar experiences? How do you navigate this silence and maintain optimism in the face of seemingly stacked odds? Let's start a conversation and share insights on how we can support each other in this challenging job market. 💬 #JobSearch #Recruitment #CareerInsights

Being in the HR profession, I often hear the age-old complaint: "There are no jobs out there!" 😢 But...is that really the case? 🤔 Is the job market truly barren? Or, are we simply struggling to connect the right talent with the right opportunities? I believe the issue isn't a lack of job opportunities, but rather the challenge of finding "the right match" for both candidates and recruiters. I'd like to dive deeper into this conversation and explore how we can bridge this gap effectively. What are your thoughts?
