Construction work has officially commenced on the building of The R&A’s new Global Headquarters at St Andrews West. David Rickman MBE, who led on the planning for the development of the staff building before retiring from The R&A after a 37-year career in golf administration last October, had the honour of breaking ground to officially mark the start of construction. Rickman used a special 1890s ‘Bogey’ hole cutter provided by The R&A World Golf Museum for the ceremonial turnover of soil as work on the foundations of the project begins. Love it the pilers are already on it
We are honoured to work with you to deliver your state-of-the-art global headquarters. We look forward to seeing the build progress and to collaborating with you and the local community on our planned social value initiatives.
Delighted to be part of the design team for this flagship building 👍⛳️
Love to see an architect's rendering of the proposed building.
The R&A muy bueno !!!!
Fantastic to see the ongoing progress of the Global HQ. A very important milestone in the long term vision of the R&A to reflect its role and heritage in the town and also globally.
A 130-year-old hole cutter and a new modern HQ - perfectly symbolizes the journey every golf club is on right now.
