Saudi Arabia's esports squad created history on December 8 by becoming the winners of the inaugural FIFAe World Cup featuring Rocket League at Riyadh's SEF Arena. The squad performed well with an impressive show, such as defeating Chile 4-0 in the quarter-finals, Brazil 4-0 in the semis, and France 4-1 in the final. Team captain Mohammed Al-Otaibi (TrK511) reflected on the experience, noting that "this feeling is inexpressible when supported by an enthusiastic local crowd". Teammates, Yazid Abdullah Bakhashwin (Kiileerrz) and Saleh Abdullah Bakhashwin (Rw9), also called it an "achievement in every aspect".
