Equipping Healthcare Practitioners to Support Chronic Health Conditions in Clinical Practice | Masterclasses for Both Clinicians and Patients | Specialised Support for Long Covid, MCAS, HIT, ME/CFS
I'm finally able to share my latest insights as of March 2024, drawn from my 4 years of extensive clinical experience with hundreds of Long COVID patients. In this new series of blog posts, I will simplify some of the science from the primary focus of this content that zeroes in on the gut microbiota. Part 1, is an introduction to some terminology and concepts of gut health in disease and explores some of the misconceptions and potential mechanisms that may play in to persistent Long COVID symptoms. Over the coming weeks I will be sharing details of a proposed Long COVID microbiome phenotype based on hundreds of patients test and analysis, and also some of the interventions that have been supporting many of the people that I work with. While I appreciate that there's no one-size-fits-all protocol for Long COVID, nor do I profess to have all the answers related to its pathophysiology, I know what I see in clinical practice and nutritional health and microbiota balance can certainly help improve outcomes, lets keep learning and growing together.
