Am I the only one annoyed with the AI generated "Conversation Starters" that are tagged onto every post these days? It's like we have a three-year-old curating our LinkedIn interactions. Here are the two winners that followed a post (below) by one of my connections: {star} What makes qualifying for the Indy 500 challenging? {star} How does one become a Michelin rated chef? Read the original post (below) to understand just how completely beside the point those questions are. I don't want to pay to train your LLM, LinkedIn, and I want a way to disable that unwanted, unasked for feature. #sosayweall #tearsintherain #freelinkedin
"Someone already did this" or "somebody already does this" This is always a fallacy. Everyone also "knows" how to cook and drive yet very few can qualify for the Indy 500 or cook like a Michelin rated chef. There's always room for someone better or different across all touch points and throughout the value chain.

Before we open we start our day with a premeal. This consist of different topics of conversation that keeps us aligned. We go over any new items, events for the day, and this pictures below is a roleplay being presented. This is reflecting at its finest. Here at Your 3rd Spot™ Social Dining we do roleplays to keep things fresh. As a team in different positions it's fun to hear what one department will spiel to guests vs. another department. When we do these roleplays we always have the team reflect. What did we like or what can we add. Hearing these also keep the team informed and aligned so we are all on one accord. These roleplays are super fun as well with the team because they are always different. We throw out different names and situations. It's always fun to see the reply with who is doing the roleplay because you must know how to answer any curve ball. That's why this team is so great. They test each other because we all have the same goal of winning and delivering the best of the best. Now that is a team. Working together to be better. #your3spot #atl #atlanta #hospitality #teamwork #growth

Executive Coach | Team + Strategy Development Facilitator | Working with Senior Leaders and their teams to navigate and maximise the inflection point in their business.
If you’ve read my recent newsletter, you’ll know I’m loving reading Restaurant GM Will Guidara’s book Unreasonable Hospitality. Stay tuned for lots of insights! Guidara talks about the pursuit of that fourth Michelin star being so all encompassing that at one point he realised their ambition had gotten the better of them. At his own inflection point, he likened it to being like the cartoon Coyote so focused on catching the Road Runner that he’d run right of the cliff without realising it. “We’d been so focussed on managing the guest experience we’d forgotten to manage our culture. We’d lost our balance and needed to get it back”. This is of course, one of the challenges with being focussed and ambitious in the achievement of your next goal. When you look to make the big changes in your business it takes your very all. Ensuring you truly have your eye on the whole business, the impact the changes you’re making are having on your people and your customers takes conscious attention. It’s almost impossible to do if you are running hard. Don’t wait for people and things to fall apart to make you stop. Take this post as a sign to stop, get up on the balcony and ask what is working well and what needs attention right now? What are the unintended consequences of our current approach and are we comfortable with that? What are we missing? What needs to shift? #teamunlocker #leaderunlocker #inflectionnavigator

I help ambitious women conquer self-doubt, unleash their superpowers, and achieve the careers and lives they desire 🌐 Executive Coach 🌐 Public Speaker 🌐 Podcast Host
I met Massimo Bottura, a Michelin-star chef, and learned a valuable lesson in humility and customer experience. I had dinner at Casa Maria Luigia, one of Massimo Bottura's renowned restaurants. The meal was incredible, but what stood out was Chef Bottura himself. He walked into the dining room and stopped at each table to speak with his guests. He shared stories, posed for photos, and made everyone feel valued. This was a master class in providing exceptional experiences. Despite his busy schedule, he took the time to engage with us personally. This gesture showed respect and humility. As a CEO and founder of Living While Leading, I strive to create similar experiences for my clients. It’s not just about the service I provide but how I make people feel. Key takeaways from this experience: - Engage personally: Take time to connect with your clients. - Show respect: Value their presence and contributions. - Be humble: No matter your success, stay grounded. These lessons are invaluable in building strong, lasting relationships. How do you ensure exceptional experiences for your clients? #Leadership #CustomerExperience #Humility
