Our Garden Party is in full swing and we’re delighted to be launching our new green initiative. We’re incentivising patrons to purchase/pay deposits for these lovely reusable glasses by offering those who do so, discounts on drinks. So far, this scheme has massively reduced our plastic waste, and has been warmly welcomed by attendees. Every little helps! #sustainability #greenpolicy #gardenparty

At JPC by Samsic, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint. Last Friday we celebrated No Disposable Cup Day, a global initiative aimed at reducing single-use waste and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.🍃 At Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work a small challenge was held in our office where we are asked everyone to not use disposable cups and take one of our reusable ones for the day. 🥤 On average, UK households discard 60 pieces of plastic packaging each week. This amounts to an estimated 1.7 billion pieces of plastic being thrown away nationally every week, which adds up to a staggering 90 billion pieces annually. ♻ By choosing reusable cups, we can make a significant impact on reducing waste and conserving resources. Our team is dedicated to making sustainable choices every day, and we encourage members of our team, clients and guests to join us in this important effort whenever visiting our sites. Now that the Christmas season has wrapped up and the 12th night has passed, it’s time to think about clearing out holiday leftovers responsibly! 🌟 From wrapping paper to Christmas trees, here’s how to recycle smart and avoid fines: 🎁 Wrapping Paper: Skip foil or glitter-covered paper. If it stays scrunched, it’s likely recyclable! 🎄 Christmas Trees: Real trees can often be turned into chippings - check your council’s recycling services. 📦 Packaging: Break down boxes and remove plastic or foam. Gift bags with ribbon handles? Those can’t be recycled. 🍗 Food Waste: Compost leftovers or use your council’s food waste collection service. 🚨 Improper disposal, like mixing non-recyclables or overfilling bins, could cost you up to £200 in fines! Let’s start the new year with eco-friendly habits and give back to the planet. 🌍 #SustainableLiving #RecycleRight #EcoFriendlyNewYear

No more excessive trash bags, disposable coffee mugs or cutlery. ♻️ Plus, we've swapped single-use coffee cups for reusable mugs at many terminals, reducing waste one sip at a time. 🚮 We organize regular clean-up days at our terminals, working alongside others to keep our environment free from waste. 🍏 To tackle food waste, several of our terminals have set up free fruit giveaways, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Keep an eye on our page, as we will soon share some exciting initiatives related to sustainability with you. Totally agree with this message from Bower Collective. If you want true transparency with how your waste packaging is treated - you need to return to source. A trusted source. And that’s the small guys, the disrupters and change makers who have that purpose built into their business - to build a supply chain with less waste. It’s not an after thought and certainly not green washing. We share the same mission so, yes I’m biased and I don’t care. Bower take responsibility for their packaging so the consumer and the councils don’t. It’s not your tax that pays for the collection and it’s not a gamble if it’s recycled or incinerated leading to energy pollution. Bowers send their waste packaging for conversion to Stormboard,a building material. And only at end of life, which is around 10 refills. Supporting reuse is the only true path to a cleaner future - so yes, Reuse is the answer.
🤯 Did you know this shocking fact about plastic waste? 🛁 Single-use plastic waste poses a critical threat to our environment and health. Help combat single-use plastic waste by choosing products in reusable packaging. Join Bower Collective today and be part of the solution. Together, we can do it 🌍✨ #singleuseplastic #plasticpollution

We had a family function, our intent has always been minimalism & sustainability in any celebration we do. And this also we started planning with same intent, less of flowers, recycling used flowers for preparing incense sticks etc.,. reusable cutlery for serving food. But the only thing i was not able to do is giving guests water in steel glass somehow it was not agreed upon owing to hygiene - though i personally dont agree. But then I collected all the used bottles and upcycles it for our corporate event the very next day. I was not satisfied for using plastic bottles for my own function when I propagate it myself but I was content i did not add on the already burgeoning plastic waste, less burden to planet earth. #sustainability #wastemanagement #reuse #recycle #upcycle #CSR
