As my almost 27-year tenure with the US Army comes to an end, I am preparing to transition into a different career path. During this time, I have been soaking up advice from those who are closer to this transition than I am. As a military member, I have been cautious about my social media use due to Operation Security. However, I am now being advised to increase my social media presence to increase my chances of being noticed for potential job opportunities. For those who have been in a similar situation, how did you go from being reserved about your life to becoming a social butterfly? What are some tips or advice you can share to help me embrace the challenge of putting myself out there? I'm excited to hear your thoughts! #careertransition #jobopportunities #socialmediaadvice #networkbuilding #veterans

Here's one reason why you should post regularly and NOT delete posts. Go look at your analytics, specifically, impressions in the last 90 days. Some of the posts you made >90days ago have received a good amount of impressions. Somewhere out there, people are still viewing your content from >90days ago! One of mine from 1yr ago has received over 300 impressions in the last 90 days. Hi 👋 I'm a fractional marketing professional. If you have any questions about the nefarious attacks and attempts to #SwiftBoat #Minnesota #GovernorWalz, read this excellent piece below. #GOPdesparation #HarrisWalz2024
Seeing loads of comments on Twitter, LinkedIn and elsewhere about Tim Walz and his record of service, I think it's important to clarify something. Tim Walz enlisted at 17 in the Army National Guard, worked heavy artillery, served postings domestically and abroad, was named Nebraska's Citizen-Soldier of the Year in 1989, deployed to Europe for nine months in support of OEF. He retired as Command Sergeant Major of 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery Regiment, but was later reverted to Master Sergeant due to not completing the coursework. Why didn't he complete the coursework? Oh, he was a sitting Congressman working to cease sending troops to Iraq and extricate the United States from what was then clearly a quagmire. As to whether he "abandoned his unit", he retired in May of 2005, two months before his unit received a warning order in July of 2005 and surely had to submit his retirement papers at a minimum weeks if not months before. One NCO who served with Walz and later became the CSM of the same unit (but also disagrees with Walz's politics) had this to say "The man did nothing wrong with when he chose to leave the service; he didn't break any rules ... He was a great soldier. When he chose to leave, he had every right to leave". What I also do find quite odd is that, from the individuals who are dunking on Walz's service, I never saw them up in arms about Ronny Jackson who continues to call himself a Rear Admiral when he was demoted to Captain; nor did I see them calling out Tom Cotton when he misled people about his status as an Army Ranger; nor did I see them ask Tim Sheehy to drop out of his Senate race when he claimed a negligent discharge was a combat wound on the campaign trail; nor did I see any of those lambasting Walz on here call for Steve Slayton to drop as the Republican candidate when he blatantly falsified his Vietnam service record; nor have I seen anyone ask Troy Nehls to stop wearing the CIB when he is not qualified for that badge. And not once have I seen a Conservative call out Mike Flynn when he has identified himself as a four star general on Twitter when he's only a three star. This is a political attack, nothing more; not liking one's politics is completely fine, but to engage in a tarring and feathering of one's honorable military service doesn't just insult that veteran, but thousands of other veterans. It's disingenuous and downright disrespectful. To put it simply, service is service and Walz served past his initial enlistment, performed 24 years of commendable military service, and received an honorable discharge then proceeded to serve the citizens of Minnesota again as an elected official.

Gonna take this lesson from a client campaign and file it away for future use. We were running a campaign in order to generate leads for a certain product. The campaign was not performing well after multiple tweaks. The company identified that they convert folks at a high rate once they subscribe to a specific offer on their site, different from the one we originally chose to promote. We thought the offer would resonate with our audience. So, we shifted to generate leads for the other offer in hopes that they will be converted at a later date. So far... it's working out that way. 👌 Hi 👋 I'm a Military Marketing Consultant. If your social team (and I hope you have a team) isn't already using this meme you need to be asking yourself why. Speed is HUGE when it comes to social. If there's too much red-tape in the way, or 4 rounds of approval to go through director of marketing, CMO, legal, and a final bless-off from CEO... that needs to change Something happens that everyone talks about, ya'll need to be referencing it the next day or two. two weeks is too late. Still Serving—Active Duty Military, Veterans & Our Families 💥Through Professional Financial Advice & Numerous Volunteer Activities 💥 Now Connecting: People to Resources & Warm Introductions to Key Corporate Leaders
WHAT: “Thriving After Military Service” Transitioning ALL RANKS Veteran Event WHO: Hosted by the MOAA-Tampa Chapter WHERE: FIVE Labs Conference Center, 4115 W Spruce St., Tampa WHEN: Tuesday, 6 February from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch and beverage service provided) WHY: While there are multitudes of seminars for transitioning military members, there are none quite like this. The typical event focuses on resume development, interview skills, dressing for success, building your elevator speech, etc., while MOAA’s “Thriving After Military Service” goes a completely different direction...we are focused on helping military members and their families lead fulfilling lives now that they have the opportunity to put down real and lasting roots in the Tampa Bay community. Nobody else is doing this. Here’s what people are saying about this event: - “Extremely valuable! I’m in the middle of my transition now and this was the only venue I’ve seen that covers these topics.” - “Excellent! Focused on a very different part of my transition—how to stay connected to the military community.” - “I very much like the emphasis on continued service in retirement.” - “Love the energy and purpose.” - “Amazing program that I will be a big advocate for and will spread the word.” - “Will definitely recommend other service members attend this event in the future.” REGISTER: https://lnkd.in/ehn225pf #transitioningmilitary #veterans #success #communitybuilding #veteransupport #veteranshelpingveterans #transitioningservicemembers

If you're my friend, complaining and making excuses doesn't fly with me, I care about you too much. This does one of two things: 1. My friends become better 👍 2. They stop sharing things with me and we become surface level friends who don't spend much time together 🤷♂️ I don't want to surround myself with people that truly believe that they don't have time, or that nothing is there fault, or only complain without offering solutions. Anybody else do this? Hi 👋 I'm a fractional marketing professional.
