🌟 Turning “Untrainable” into Unstoppable Progress 🌟 Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to work with Dante, a rescue dog in Raleigh, NC, who’s been labeled “untrainable” in the past. In just six sessions, Dante has made incredible strides in mastering commands like sit, down, stay, and come. During our session, he broke the stay command twice, which served as a great reminder that training is rarely perfect. The true key lies in consistency, patience, and staying committed to the process. Dante’s guardian has shown incredible dedication, practicing daily to reinforce each command. What used to be a two-second stay is now almost a full minute—a testament to what can be achieved with perseverance and the right support. In dog training, as in many areas of life, it’s about progress, not perfection. Each challenge is an opportunity to grow and build trust. Dante’s journey reminds us all that no goal is out of reach if you’re willing to put in the work. Here’s to celebrating the journey, building resilience, and never giving up on the potential within every dog. #DogTraining #ProgressNotPerfection #RescueDog #TrainingWithPatience #DogTrainingJourney #RaleighNC #PersistencePaysOff #LinkedInCommunity #ProfessionalDogTraining #Resilience #DogPrincipal #GrowthMindset

How to Stop Your Dog from Jumping Up on You Struggling with your dog constantly jumping up on you? Here’s how you can address this behavior effectively: Teach an Alternative Behavior: Most dogs jump to get your attention. Instead, teach them to sit and reward them for sitting. -This encourages them to sit rather than jump when they want attention. Move Towards the Dog: Instead of stepping away when your dog jumps, move towards them. -This action makes them uncomfortable and discourages the behavior over time. Leash Technique for Persistent Jumpers: For more determined dogs, use a leash to help them self-correct. -By stepping on the portion of the leash that's already on the ground while they stand or sit, they’ll learn to stop jumping when they feel the tension. Avoid Rewarding Jumping: Don’t accidentally reinforce the behavior by petting your dog when they jump, especially with smaller breeds. -Instead, only give attention when all four paws are on the ground. Implement these strategies to curb your dog's jumping and enjoy a more peaceful, respectful interaction. #DogTraining #DogBehavior #DogOwnerTips #DogOwnerAdvice

Four reasons why you SHOULD be bringing your kids along on our tours: 1️⃣ Imagine being able to give your kids an unconventional lesson on the nuances of nature and the Western Australian outback. Think history, culture, wildlife—everything hands-on and immersive. 2️⃣ This tour offers a unique opportunity to disconnect from your digital devices (and possible boundaries) and reconnect with one another. This could involve navigating challenging terrain or enjoying communal meals under the stars. 3️⃣ The tour includes activities such as 4WD training, camping, and cooking over an open fire, which provides valuable opportunities for kids to develop important life skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and self-reliance. These skills are practical and contribute to personal growth and development. 4️⃣ Through interactions with local fishermen, Indigenous elders, and other tour participants, children can learn about different cultures and perspectives. This exposure to diversity can promote empathy, tolerance, and global awareness in children from a young age. PLEASE NOTE: This will ensure that you end up not as cleanly dressed and smart as our family looks in the picture attached…😋 Not convinced?
