VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE: 1.) TSU - I participated in Teens Speak Up with The Epilepsy Foundation to speak to congresspeople about upcoming issues that would effect the population of people with Epilepsy. 2.) AWARENESS - I coordinated an Epilepsy awareness volleyball game at Chapel Hill High School that raised money for The Epilepsy Foundation. We raised over $6000! 3) COACHING - I volunteered as a coach for younger kids learning to play volleyball. I taught the fundamentals to those aspiring to learn the sport I love the most.

Please watch this high-energy short video to learn more about how The Acceleration Project help small business owners grow their business.
Legacy Volleyball Club provides athletic and after school programs for hundreds of kids in the Bronx each year. Founder Joel Sanchez says his work with TAP has been a game-changer, helping him expand and grow. “Our journey with TAP has been guided by the intention of breaking down barriers and making our services available to a broader range of people, including those from the Hispanic community.” TAP has empowered hundreds of #smallbusinessowners like Joel with financial, operational and marketing support. Help us support more under-resourced #smallbusiness by donating today. https://lnkd.in/gEDn_Rd #GivingTuesday

In addition to running my own PR consulting firm, I have also been the GM of a non-profit travel baseball program - created in NYC six years ago to provide opportunities for all kids - regardless of economic status. Every year, the East River Sharks baseball program provides scholarships to kids from various parts of NYC who can't afford the cost of joining a travel baseball team. Many of our coaches are volunteers, and we rely on donations to keep the organization running and the kids on the field! Currently 70% of our players are on scholarship! This week, for 4 days only, we are raising money for our non-profit baseball program the East River Sharks! It is weird to post this on LI, but it is part of my world of work, and part of giving back. If you are corporation, we would love your sponsorship if you are looking for a worthy cause. Or if you just want some popcorn and want to send a quick donation (by the way the popcorn is awesome), then click the link below! We are using the funds to create two new younger teams as many of our players are now in high school and college. Need more convincing about how you can help... consider this... 2 of our players have gone to the show (SF Giants and AZ Diamondbacks) 30 of our players over the last 6 years are now playing in college. And, there are more players out there to help! #nonprofits #nonprofit #baseball #youthempowerment #youthsports https://lnkd.in/eBb6gphK

When March rolls around, we’re all basketball fans. This year, experience the thrill of March Madness and get an opportunity to win big in a new way. Pick the winner of the men's tournament, women's tournament, or both. Winners from each tournament will split the total pool, up to $500 each. The more entries the bigger the prize, the more raised for A Moment of Magic and our important work. Here’s how to get involved! Visit https://lnkd.in/ek2YAs5h now! You can make your selection by picking the team or teams you want to win. You can enter as many teams as you want for both the men's and women's tournaments! For example: If you buy 5 tickets for Gonzaga to win your name will be entered 5 times under Gonzaga. If you buy an additional 5 tickets for UNC, your name will be entered 5 times under UNC. If Gonzaga loses in the second round, you still have 5 opportunities to win as long as UNC stays viable. If UNC becomes the National Champion, you have 5 chances to win the big prize! If UNC loses before the championship, you always have the option to buy additional entries under a team still in the tournament. You can buy entries at the beginning of the tournament or wait until the competition narrows down, but after each round entry prices will increase. At the end of the tournament, we will randomly select an entry from those who selected the winner to receive the cash prize! 50% of funds raised will support A Moment of Magic's work in providing creative programming and support to vulnerable and underserved children! So, what will your strategy be? Get in on the action now: https://lnkd.in/eb4ybFyD #marchmadness #ncaabasketball #nonprofitfundraising

Hello LinkedIn community! As some of you may know, I have recented rejoined the Canadian Tire family to become an Associate Dealer. I am currently in training (not cycling as much, so this should be interesting), I look forward to join a great group of peers and to support the amazing initiatives that this company undertakes. Jumpstart has always impressed me by the impact it has in communities across Canada and the support it offers for kids to have a chance to participate in sports activities. I am asking for your support as I prepare to ride in Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities' Pedal for Kids event in June. Jumpstart’s tireless efforts bring joy, inspiration, and hope to children and communities nationwide. Here's how you can help: 1. Donate: Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping Jumpstart provide opportunities for kids who may not otherwise have access to them. Your contribution will directly impact their lives and bring smiles to their faces. Please visit my fundraising page here: https://lnkd.in/gW8Xy3vh 2. Share the word: Even if you're unable to contribute financially at the moment, your support can still make a difference. 3. Join us: If you're interested and available, consider coming out for a ride and we can raise funds that will make a lasting impact on children's lives. I understand that times are tough, and many families are facing financial difficulties due to current economic headwinds. However, it is precisely during these times that Jumpstart's work becomes even more crucial. If you have any questions or would like more information about Jumpstart or the Pedal for Kids event, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much for considering my request and for your ongoing support.

Today is #GivingTuesday, the annual global day of giving! You have the power to change the game – literally and figuratively. Softball is more than a game; it's a platform for empowerment, leadership, and growth. But the playing field isn't always level. Today, we're striving to change that narrative. Your donation will help expand our softball program, giving more girls the chance to stand tall on the diamond, learning life skills that go far beyond sports. Every child who desires to play should have a chance to play, learn, and explore baseball and softball. Yet, for many youths of color, opportunities to engage in these sports are limited by socioeconomic barriers. We're committed to breaking down these barriers. With your help, we can make baseball and softball more accessible and inclusive. Be a Game Changer! Your donation today isn't just a gift; it's an investment in futures, in dreams, and in the equitable world we all strive for. Let's give kids the ability to PLAY! Give now at baseballbeyond.org. #youthsoftball #youthbaseball #equityinsports #seattlenonprofit #youthsports #supportyoungathletes #diversityinsports

I will be participating in the Horse Capital Marathon in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, April 13th. This will be my 16th marathon and I’m issuing this one as an opportunity to raise money for a young girl from Calgary, Emily, who was born missing her right hand. I’ve know Emily for a few years, through The War Amps, Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program and she is an absolute sweetheart of a kid. A few months ago, I was speaking at Emily’s school and afterwards, she and her mom were telling me about a sports camp in Du Quoin, Illinois that Emily REALLY wants to go to. The camp is put on by NubAbility and they specialize in encouraging youth with various limb differences and amputations to get into mainstream sports. Their summer camps provide inspiration, instruction, and coaching to help get youth out of the bleachers and into sport. If you would like to help get Emily to the NubAbility Athletics sports camp this summer, the link to donate is below. If you’re unable to make a donation, please consider sharing this post to help get it in front of as many people as possible. Thank you so much, in advance, for your support and contribution. #ifican https://lnkd.in/gRfzAegj
