STORY TIME: Recently, we received a heartfelt call from a daughter in Oregon whose 89-year-old mom is moving from California to Oregon to be closer to family. She found us through a Google search of "movers" and said, "Your service is exactly what we need for our mom." That’s exactly why we’re here – to provide compassion and kindness where it’s needed most. She had no idea a service like ours existed, and we hear that a lot. At New Leaf Senior Transitions, we understand that moving is far more than just packing and transporting boxes. It’s about ensuring every client feels supported, comfortable, and at ease throughout the process. While many people assume we’re a moving company, what we offer is something much more specialized. We help people downsize, declutter, and manage their transition with care, ensuring that their cherished memories and belongings are treated with the respect they deserve. From organizing and sorting to finding the right moving company for the job, we’re here to make the entire process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We’ve developed long standing relationships with licensed and insured movers who have partnered with us on thousands of successful moves. Our communication is always clear, and the process is seamless. We believe expertise matters, which is why we partner with movers who provide the best value and service for our clients, rather than trying to handle everything in-house. These trusted partnerships ensure that our clients receive the specialized care and attention they deserve. Whether you need help managing the emotional aspects of downsizing or simply need guidance through the process, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Because at New Leaf, we believe peace of mind comes from working with people who truly understand the unique needs of individuals. #seniorliving #wecanhelp #welovewhatwedo

Meet the owners of Ezer Home Solutions - Ashlie and Rocela! Friends for over a decade, they've navigated the twists and turns of adulthood together, often sharing career triumphs and tribulations. Ashlie, a seasoned Senior Assistant Vice President in banking, and Rocela, a SaaS and finance customer success professional with an MBA, found themselves constantly grappling with the demands of corporate life. Driven by a shared vision to build something meaningful, they set out to create a company that truly makes a difference in people's lives. Their brainchild was born: a home solutions company specializing in cleaning, organizing, decluttering, and more, named “Ezer”, a faith-based Hebrew word that means “helper”. Their mission? To help busy humans reclaim their sanctuary and find peace in their homes. Their vision doesn't stop there. Ashlie and Rocela are passionate about nurturing a workplace that stands apart—a place where employees aren't just a number, but cherished members of a supportive community. They believe in offering options and benefits that defy the corporate norm, because they've been there and know the value of work-life balance. For them, it's personal. They want to create a legacy not just for their families, but for every member of their team. By lifting the weight off clients' shoulders and giving back precious time, they're reshaping the concept of home care. It's about more than just tidying up; it's about creating an environment where both clients and employees thrive. In Ashlie and Rocela's world, there is no room for the traditional conventions of corporate America. Instead, they've woven their values into the fabric of their company, ensuring that what truly matters—family, community, and well-being—is at the forefront of everything they do. From non-traditional work arrangements to genuine care for staff and clients alike, they've redefined what it means to build a business with heart. Together, we're not just cleaning homes; we're transforming lives, one space at a time. #homecleaning #organization #professsional

I was that career woman who worried about having kids. … because I might lose my ambition. I saw so many women leave the workforce when they had kids. I had worked so hard to get to where I was… I was scared to disrupt my VP career track. 😅 Fast forward to 2019 and my 2nd maternity leave was coming to a close. My worries came true: my once excited self was dreading going back to work. The idea of 8 hours in an office felt… wrong? Yet still, the ambitious career-driven woman inside of me screamed: “Nope, sorry. Leaving your career behind is not an option for you.” I couldn’t help but notice that when I transitioned back into the workforce after mat leave, my passion started to fade. Don’t get me wrong – I loved the work I was doing. I just didn’t love the 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘳. As a mom and a creative entrepreneur at heart, I craved freedom, flexibility, and fulfilment. I dreamt of a job that lit me up. That had meaning and purpose and was rooted in helping and serving people. And so, in 2019 I decided to chase my passions and started a side hustle. At first, my side hustle was about: → Bringing in some extra income for my family. → Feeling that spark of passion I had felt in my career pre-kids. → Showing my kids that they could make money doing what they love. What began as a ‘little side hustle’ turned into so much more. As I started to see the direct impact my work was having on my clients’ lives and businesses, my ‘why’ became so much bigger than I ever could have imagined. As a former career woman who was worried about having kids because it would mean I’d lose my ambition, here’s what I discovered: Mothers don’t lose their ambition. We gain the confidence to do hard things.

I wanted to be 100% present when our baby was born. But I’ve been running a business non-stop for the last 8 years. You can’t just turn that part of your brain off. Or can you? I was expecting my “time off” to be at least a little stressful. Friends told me the first few weeks after the baby’s born can be “the hardest time of your life.” And since I became a partner at Digital Position, LLC… I’ve never gone completely offline for more than a day or two. It’s one thing to say that you trust your team. But how many of us have really put that to the test? When my wife went into labor on Father’s Day, I logged out. It honestly felt like a vacation. Actually better… I wasn’t worried about work at all. For the last few years, we’ve been focused on creating a strong team. We joke that our health and fitness specialization means the team’s never been more physically strong. But we strategically hired people with complementary skill sets. And we dedicated time, effort, and budget to team-building. It worked. They had it all under control. And the time off that I got to spend with this little baby is something I’ll never forget. ___ To business owners: (or anyone building a team) It’s worth the effort and the investment to find the right people. I know relying on freelancers can save a lot of money on salaries. And I understand why agencies are embracing that global workforce model. But the added cost of full-time employees can buy you a lot of other benefits. And to my team: Grant McKinstrie Austen Wiley Kaylee Price Jordan Lagan And the rest… Thank you.

If you don't get leverage, you will get stuck! Here's why I still did a 12-hour drive. I recently drove 12 hours to grab a U-haul and help move my daughter back to Austin. I also just talked about leveraging others to save time. Within the last week or two, I talked about hiring bookkeepers, chefs, and house cleaners and delegating tasks to those who can do the job for a fraction of your personal value. It seems ironic that I also volunteered for such a long drive, right? Well, here's why I made that decision: - The Protective Instinct: I’m a protective father, and it’s also about family time. This trip is more than just a move. It’s about being there for her. - Shared Experiences: Six hours in the car with my wife and six solo driving the U-Haul might seem tedious, but it’s quality time. - Comfort and Security: Knowing we're there to help makes my daughter feel safe, comfortable, and secure. - Delegating the Right Tasks: We’ve hired movers for the heavy lifting—I don’t do that anymore—but this trip is about bonding, not just logistics. - Cherishing Non-Renewable Resources: Time is a non-renewable resource, and family is our most prized possession. I'll take any chance I get to strengthen family bonds. They grow up over time, but maintaining a strong relationship is priceless. She’s spent years perfecting her profession, and now she’s coming home. We’re thrilled. I hope you have the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with your family. When was the last time you made a similar choice?

We can't Uber clients to our business. Yet, as business owners, we want to get clients in as easy way as possible. Business is simple, but not easy. Sell stuff to people, if they want it, they'll buy it. Simple, right? Not easy. Finding what people want at a price their willing to pay isn't easy. It takes time and effort. Which means work. The more work you put into something, understanding the people you serve, the better off you'll be. But it all takes work. Don't fall for the trap of ease. Money is out there to be made, but it's not easy. #ittakeswork
