Talent Acquisition and Recruitment | Associate Psychologist | Trainer | Fostering Positive Workplace Culture and Well-being Initiatives
So, everyone talks about how “HR never gets back to candidates” Will we ever discuss the roles candidates have and how recruiters are there for them? It's worth considering the other side of the coin here. HR put a lot of effort into making the hiring process as smooth as possible for candidates. It can be really disappointing when candidates don't show up for interviews or suddenly go silent, especially when all the scheduling is done as per their preferences. Maybe it's time we take a step back and recognize the hard work and dedication HR professionals put into their roles. They genuinely want to help candidates succeed, and it can be tough when that effort isn't always reciprocated. Let's try to see things from both perspectives and foster a more understanding and supportive environment in the recruitment process. After all, we're all just trying to find the right fit for both parties involved. #recruitment #HR #peopleandculture #talentacquisition #hiring

This is very true …. Yes, the recruitment industry certainly does get a bad name at times ! But there are some absolute gems of recruiters out there. This article shares some highlights of pursuing a career in the industry. I have personally forged some great friendships with people during my time in recruitment (20+ years … eek! 😳). The role of a recruiter is so rewarding, whilst also ever-changing. 🎯As a job seeker it’s critical you find a trusted recruiter who understands your value and can help showcase your skills/ experience to potential employers. 🎯 💫 A skilled recruiter will be your ultimate job search cheerleader and strategic ally, delving into your professional aspirations, understanding your skill set, and acknowledging your unique experiences. 💫 🔎A good recruiter is not just a matchmaker between candidates and employers; they help interpret your career ambitions and navigate the job market. 🔎 If you’re considering a move into the recruitment industry I couldn’t recommend it more highly .. OR If you’re a job seeker who needs support with a search for your next role, please invest the time to find a professional recruiter and build that relationship. You’ll certainly see the benefits. 🚀 👇🏻For any ex-colleagues or recruiters please feel free to share your career highlights / best memories in the comments..👇🏻 #careerdevelopment #careeradvancement #jobhunting #jobseekersupport #cvwriter

Highly knowledgeable, Manufacturing Management & Leadership recruiter - UK wide specialist with over 25 years recruitment expertise | NED, REC | Chair, Climate Action SMBC | past President GMCC, Stockport
I’ve worked in Manufacturing and Engineering recruitment for 30 years. I see it as a profession and its absolutely my passion. Why? Because I make a difference (in the best possible way) to people’s lives and make a living doing it. My expertise is as important to an individual looking for a career move, as much as it is to a business. Yes, there’s no barrier to entry in this field, but it’s easy enough to work out competence if you ‘listen’ for a few minutes. The complexity of what we do shouldn’t be underestimated. The individual component parts of our job my seem simple enough on the outside, but the skill lies in how they all fit together. No mean feat I can assure you….. but well worth it. 🧡 Great post highlighting the impact of a professional recruitment career. 👌🏻 #recruitment #ukmfg #ukmanufacturing #businessleaders
