In a world that often values self-interest & personal gain, it’s important to remember the power of sacrifice & selflessness. Sacrifice is the ultimate act of love & compassion, demonstrating our willingness to put others before ourselves. Whether it’s giving up our time, resources, or even our own desires, sacrifice has the ability to inspire & encourage those around us. The ultimate test of a man's conscience may be his willingness to sacrifice something today for future generations whose words of thanks will not be heard. Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness. What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains & is immortal. #iQor #MemorialDay iQor

I support the VFW and others in sharing utter disgust at former president Trump’s statements saying the Presidential Medal of Freedom he awarded to the richest Israeli in the world is actually better than receiving the Medal of Honor. The PRESIDENTIAL Medal of FREEDOM may be awarded by the President as provided in this order to any person who has made an especially meritorious contribution to (1) the security or national interests of the United States, or (2) world peace, or (3) cultural or other significant public or private endeavors. While the Medal of Honor, or Congressional Medal of Honor, is the highest military award in the United States. To receive the medal, a U.S. service member must meet the following criteria: Action: The act of bravery must occur while the service member is engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States, a foreign opposing force, or friendly foreign forces fighting against an opposing force in which the U.S. is not involved. Risk: The act must involve the service member risking their life. Conspicuousness: The act must be so outstanding that it clearly distinguishes the service member above their comrades and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Confirmation: The act must be confirmed by at least two eyewitnesses. The sad thing is Republican veterans are doubling down, as expected in this Unconventional Civil War. I AM a noncombatant and hopefully will remain one. Republican talk about Civil War is stupid, but if the cap fit...

As we commemorate the 248th anniversary of our independence, it is important to reflect on the sacrifices and struggles that our forefathers endured to secure our freedom. We must remember that our liberty was not easily won, and we must always be vigilant in defending it against any threats or challenges. Throughout history, our nation has faced numerous obstacles and adversaries, but we have always stood strong and united in the face of adversity. Our founding principles of freedom, democracy, and equality continue to guide us as we strive to create a more perfect union. As we celebrate Independence Day, let us honor the brave men and women who have fought and sacrificed for our country. Let us also reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values and ideals that make America a beacon of hope and opportunity for people around the world. In the words of President Ronald Reagan, "We will not go quietly into the night, we will not go without a fight." Let us continue to proudly celebrate our independence and stand as defenders of liberty for generations to come.

According to a 2023 RAND study, around a quarter of active-duty servicemembers can be categorized as food insecure. That’s unacceptable. With Honor Action is committed to supporting our nation’s military and their families, which is why we strongly urge Congress to implement our military quality of life priorities as part of the FY25 #NDAA to fix this issue. Executive Director, Office of Military Base Planning and Support for the State of New Mexico (Opinions are my own and, obviously, I do not speak for the State)
Information ... "We, 15 recipients of the Medal of Honor, having served this great nation in wars, support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States," they wrote. Their letter stated: We believe that American citizenship is a revered privilege. We believe that a patriotic nation is a strong nation. We believe that the sacrifices by the men and women in our armed forces preserves and protects American freedom. We believe that the integrity of our institutions is fundamental to the trust placed in them. We believe in the commitment to the United States Constitution and our solemn oaths to protect it. We believe valor is great fortitude when faced with profound adversity. We believe in the devoted pledge of allegiance to the United States of America. We believe that American veterans should be celebrated and supported by our nation. We believe that our nation must have borders secure from our enemies. We believe in protecting the right for all citizens to participate in free and fair elections. We believe fabricating military service is beneath the dignity of a veteran and demeaning to those who have served honorably in the Armed Forces. We believe the enemies of freedom must be defeated. We believe the American flag is a powerful symbol of freedom. We believe the United States of America is the greatest nation the world has ever imagined. We believe in mutually pledging to every American our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor. We believe in Donald Trump." You have to vote and vote early! Vote policies, not party ... or hate, or division, or conspiracy theories.

Today, June 14, is Flag Day. Flag Day celebrates the official symbol for the United States: our Stars and Stripes. Flag Day was first recognized by Congress on June 14, 1777, which became know as Flag Day. Not only is the U.S. flag older than the Union Jack of Great Britain and the tri-color flag of France, but also is the only flag to have been flown on the moon. Congress first stated that there should be a star and stripe for every state. Our first flag had 13 stars and 7 red and 6 white stripes. In 1794, two new states were added and we had a flag with 15 stars and 15 stripes. By 1818 there were 20 states, but our county was still using the flag with 15 stars and 15 stripes. Congress thought about having 20 stripes and agreed that it might become a problem because of its size so they passed a law that said there would be 13 stripes for the original 13 states, and they would add a star for each new state that joined the union. The U.S. flag is 13 stripes: seven red and six white. A blue field with 50 stars is located next to the staff in the upper left corner of the flag. It extends from the top to the lower edge of the fourth red stripe. The stars are arranged in alternating rows of six and five representing the 50 states of the United States. The stars do not represent any given state. The colors used in the flag give special meaning to the flag: Red for valor and zeal; white for hope and cleanliness of life; and blue — the color of heaven — for reverence and loyalty. The stars are an ancient symbol of the heavens. Our flag’s 50 stars represent each state as part of the nation, but also a separate level of government. Our federal government was not given the power to control, so that each state would be able to govern themselves in those things they could do better. When you are looking at the flag, you are looking at the magnificent history of all Americans who have lived before us, your own ancestors, the most enduring nation of free people that has ever existed. 🇺🇸 #VFW #VFWCA #FlagDay #Veterans #USFlag #UnitedStatesFlag
