Successful referrals don’t happen by accident – they’re built on relationships. And the best way to maintain those relationships? Communicate with people the way they want to be communicated with. • If your referral source wants a quick DM, send it. • If they prefer an email, type it out. • If they’re a phone-call type, pick up the phone and talk. Don’t impose your preferences on them. When you meet people where they are, you’re not just communicating – you’re connecting.

Tip of the day: When asking your clients for referrals... Don't say "Do you know". Say "WHO do you know". Asking "Do you know anyone who would benefit from our service", gives them an easy way out of not answering the question by saying "No, not really". This isn't because they don't know anyone. Most of the time they just don't want to sit and think through every person they know, and simply give a knee-jerk reaction like "No, I don't think so". However. When you ask "Who do you know", it implies that they know someone who would. And now, they're significantly more likely to actually take a few seconds to think, and then give you an answer. Will you still get no's from time to time? Sure. But will you get a bunch more referrals from clients who know someone? Absolutely.

Referrals Are About Trust When you refer one person to another, you put your reputation on the line. You must be able to trust your referral partner and be trusted in return. Nobody will refer a contact to someone who can’t be trusted to handle it well.https://bit.ly/4aO3JIk #Referrals #Reputation
