Scaffolding collapse can be caused by various factors, including overloading, use of damaged or defective components, lack of bracing, unsuitable foundations, or poor construction practices. Environmental conditions such as strong winds or impact from machinery can also lead to collapse. As a control measure, workers should be trained on safe work practices related to scaffolding, including understanding the risks associated with overloading and the importance of regular inspections. You can get this training at NOIAA LTD. #noiaaltd #safetytraining

Essential construction tools. Cordless drill: A cordless drill is another must-have tool for any construction site — particularly since it’s much more mobile and easier to use than a corded drill. That way you don’t have to worry about tripping over cords or getting tangled up in them. This makes cordless drills much safer to use on a construction site. In addition, cordless drills are usually more powerful than their corded counterparts. This means that you can get the job done more safely and efficiently.

SAFETY ALERT 🚨 Non-Compliant Safety Netting. The NFRC has been advised by members of instances where principal contractors have installed horizontal drainage runs, prior to the roof safety netting being fitted. This practice forces safety net riggers to work contrary to the requirements of FASET installation guidance which puts themselves and others at risk. --- FASET has contributed to the drafting of a new safety alert which highlights the risks of non-compliant safety netting due to improper installation sequences, emphasising the correct order of work to ensure safety and compliance on construction sites. Our comment: Safety nets should be installed as close as possible to the working surface, and within 2 metres. FASET recommends that any siphonic drainage is fitted once the roof is installed and after the nets have been dismantled. --- You can find a link to download the safety alert in the comments below. #FASET #NFRC #SafetyNetting
