We absolutely should be able to say Oct 7 was a war crime and everything happening in Gaza since is a war crime. Neither of these things should be controversial. But justifying one over the other is wrong. Making excuses that one is not criminal and the other is, is wrong. Thinking that they are equal is also wrong. 30,000 people have been murdered. 500,000 people are starving to death (25% of the population), +50% of habitation and infrastructure has been destroyed, and almost 2M people (90% of the population) have been displaced. 1200 Israelis were murdered (some by Hamas, some by the IDF) and almost 250 people were taken hostage (including children). Here is what is different. Oct 7 was one day with 1500 crimes. We are witnessing +90 days of crimes directly affecting 2,200,000 people EVERYDAY. That is not retaliation, it is not proportional, it is not war, and it is not just. It’s genocide.
"Why is it so hard for these presenters to see the literal truth? What makes them so blinded or a better word, ignorant, to the war crimes that we have all been witness to? Complete delusion!" - Zukreat Credit goes to James Schneider #BreakTheSilence #CeaseFireNow #StopGazaGenocide #FreePalestine

It is NOT antisemitic…
"Mr. Netanyahu, antisemitism is a vile and disgusting form of bigotry that has done unspeakable harm to millions. Do not insult the intelligence of the American people by attempting to distract us from the immoral and illegal war policies of your extremist and racist government." Bernie Sanders US Senator I couldn’t agree more. #freepalastine #stopthegenocide

Senator Bernie Sanders' unapologetic condemnation of Prime Minister Netanyahu's attempt to deflect attention away from the immoral and illegal war policies of his extremist and racist government is a clarion call for accountability and truth. In his impassioned rebuke, Sanders cuts through the smokescreen of distraction and holds Netanyahu accountable for the harm inflicted by his government's policies, while unequivocally denouncing antisemitism as the vile and despicable bigotry that it is. Sanders' words resonate with the clarity of a moral compass pointing true north. By refusing to allow Netanyahu to exploit the issue of antisemitism as a shield to deflect criticism, Sanders reaffirms the fundamental principle that holding governments accountable for their actions is not an act of bigotry, but rather a necessary step towards justice and progress. Netanyahu's government has long been mired in controversy and condemnation for its oppressive policies towards the Palestinian people, its flagrant disregard for international law, and its systematic discrimination against Arab citizens of Israel. Sanders' refusal to be swayed by Netanyahu's attempts to manipulate public opinion underscores his unwavering commitment to truth, justice, and equality for all. In a world where political rhetoric often obscures rather than illuminates, Sanders' clarity and integrity shine like a beacon of hope. His words serve as a powerful reminder that the fight against bigotry and injustice requires courage, conviction, and a steadfast dedication to speaking truth to power. As we stand on the precipice of change, Sanders' bold stance serves as a reminder that the path to a better world begins with holding those in positions of power accountable for their actions. It is a reminder that silence in the face of injustice is complicity, and that true progress can only be achieved through unwavering commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and human rights. If only you had spoken sooner sanders.

This is so incredibly important. As with all types of racism, it takes time and education for most people to become aware of their own racism. Antisemitism, in the sense of wanting to discriminate against Jewish people, is many times hard to understand, or identify. After all, no one is putting up “Jews need not apply” signs (yet). Most people do not feel hatered towards Jews, or even aversion. What most people aren’t aware of though, are the hidden meaning of this slogan, and what it means in terms of equal human rights for Jews world -wide. Most people seem not to be aware that Jews were granted the right for self determination through self governance and statehood, when most other ethnicities around the world were given the same rights. In other words, that this is when Jewish people were finally fully liberated and became equals among the nations of the world, AND received equal rights in all other countries they lived in too. (with the exception of Arab countries). After all, Jews only began to receive SOME equal rights 233 years ago in the best case and as little as 20 years in other countries, before being stripped of rights completely again in the 1930’s. Those years were not entirely of political or religious freedom and they were fraught with vast organized massacres and expulsions of Jews. As a result of not knowing this history, most people are not aware to the fact that when discussing wether Israel should exist, or should exist as a Jewish state, what they’re assentially talking about is the retraction of Jews’ equal rights and only guarantee for full religious freedom. Both on an international level, and for 9.2 million Jewish individuals living in Israel, on a very personal level. Let me stop here and say very clearly that this is by no means to say that Palestinians do not deserve the exact same rights. They do. Fully. Period. But to say that those rights should be taken away from Jewish people is… well, it’s saying that Jews no longer deserve the same equal rights which most countries and ethnic groups received at the same time and most people around the world (in the west at least) enjoy. Which is not any different than advocating for overturning the Civil rights act and taking away equal rights from black people. This is where it crosses the line into being Antisemitic. Regardless of how much one loves Jews, how many Jewish friends one may have, or of one’s own Judaism. Chanting “From the river to the sea” under the banner of HAMAS, or in demonstrations supporting them, is actively advocating for forcing the Jews of the Middle East (majority of Jews) back to living under an Islamic Caliphate, where they will once again be “Dimmy”, I.e. -second class citizens, who’s religious freedom, can be taken away at any moment, if at all granted. Knowing exactly what each chant, symbol and the implications of what we advocate for on the other hand… that’s the only way we can ever hope to achieve peace.
We welcome the US House of Representatives' resolution condemning ‘from the river to the sea’ slogan. This antisemitic chant is a rallying cry used by Hamas terrorists calling for the destruction of the State of Israel. Thank you for your leadership and moral clarity.

Signs of a screwed up world: 1) Those who commit genocide, murderers of children, accuse others of terrorism. 2) Those who say that they believe in human rights and uphold life, but finance and deliver weapons to murder innocent civilians. 3) Accusing others of anti-semitism when they are actively persecuting an actual Semitic group. 4) Shouting on the roof tops and judging other nations on open speech, but arresting, blacklisting, banning, and harassing those who demonstrate against genocide. 5) Forming a nation supposedly based on religion, but flagrantly breaking The 10 Commandments, namely Thou Shalt Not Kill, and Thou Shalt Not Covet. 6) Denying an oppressed group of people the right to establish their sovereign nation, but aggressively defending a nation that's committing genocide. The hypocrisy, lies and double-talk these days have reached new heights of sickening abominations.

Two sentiments reign supreme across large swathes of the Israeli public, says historian Omer Bartov. "The first is a combination of rage and fear, a desire to re-establish security at any cost and a complete distrust of political solutions, negotiations and reconciliation ... that threatens to make war into its own end. In this view, politics is an obstacle to achieving goals rather than a means to limit destruction. This is a view that can only ultimately lead to self-annihilation. "The second reigning sentiment – or rather lack of sentiment ... is the utter inability of Israeli society today to feel any empathy for the population of Gaza. The majority, it seems, do not even want to know what is happening in Gaza, and this desire is reflected in TV coverage. Israeli television news these days usually begins with reports on the funerals of soldiers, invariably described as heroes, fallen in the fighting in Gaza, followed by estimates of how many Hamas fighters were “liquidated”. "References to Palestinian civilian deaths are rare and normally presented as part of enemy propaganda or as a cause for unwelcome international pressure. "In the face of so much death, this deafening silence now seems like its own form of vengefulness. "Of course, the Israeli public long ago became inured to the brutal occupation that has characterised the country for 57 out of the 76 years of its existence. "But the scale of what is being perpetrated in Gaza right now by the IDF is as unprecedented as the complete indifference of most Israelis to what is being done in their name." He ends on the hopeful words of the poet Eldan, “there is a time when darkness roars but there is dawn and radiance”. But how will either side unsee what it has seen in the darkness? https://lnkd.in/ehKv3FsX

There is no such thing as neutral in this conflict. Every single one of my fellow Jews who stays silent or looks the other way is guilty of supporting this horrific genocide. Your silence is deafening.

Powerful interview, worth watching
"First, we need to have a unified message that we stand with all the jewish people of the world and we stand with Israel in defending its citizens and number 2 we need to have clarity on what that means, who are the oppressed and who are the oppressors" my comments on NewsNation with Chris Cuomo.
