Vikings is proud to run an apprenticeship program that not only helps young people obtain a qualification but also provides them with a supportive and encouraging workplace. Four years ago, Ethan stepped into the kitchen at Chisholm Vikings, to embark on his culinary journey. Fast forward to today, Ethan's hard work and dedication were celebrated as he officially received his qualification. Presented by Access Canberra and the Vikings team on Wednesday 20 November, this event marked a significant milestone in Ethan’s career. Executive Chef Ben shared, “After a lot of hard work, Ethan has earned himself a qualification that he will be able to take with him for the rest of his life. We are incredibly proud to have played a part in Ethan’s journey and to have watched him thrive in the heat of the kitchen.” To honour the occasion, Executive Chef Ben presented Ethan with a personalised chef jacket embroidered with his name and an engraved chef knife. Reflecting on his journey, Ethan shared, “My favourite thing about working in the kitchen is the adrenaline; I love working in a fast-paced environment.” If you are interested in being a part of our apprenticeship program at Vikings, please reach out to human.resources@vikings.com.au.
