Menslink Great Walk Update It’s Day 3 of the Menslink Great Walk, and our Chief Operations Officer, Karen Smith, is going strong in support of Menslink’s mission to uplift young men in our community. Here’s a recap of her journey so far: Day 1: Karen and the team started at Parliament House, covering 22 km through Red Hill and Isaacs Pines before finishing at Dave Smith’s office in Tuggeranong. Despite a blister and some soreness, she powered through! Day 2: They tackled a 24 km stretch from Tuggeranong to Weston Creek, showing resilience as they pushed through rain in Chapman. Today: They’re facing the biggest challenge yet, a 32 km trek from Tuggeranong to the Menslink office in Weston. Let’s show Karen and the team our support by cheering them on every step of the way and donating to this great cause. California has 35,000 people on parole, but their experiences often go unheard. At Project Protocol, we’re working to change that. Through our platform, people navigating reentry can share their experiences and rate their interactions with parole officers, offering a unique, ground-level perspective on the system. This community-driven data highlights barriers to accessing resources, what real support looks like, and the gaps that hinder success—insights that state agencies often overlook. This #GivingTuesday, we’re raising $10,000 to continue amplifying these voices and experiences. Together, we can bring transparency to California's parole system. 📊 Donate today: bit.ly/Donate_ProPro #GivingTuesday #Give #Donate #ParoleReform #ParoleSystem #California #TransparencyMatters #AmplifyingVoices

At Adonis Partners, we believe that success is measured not only by what we achieve in the workplace but also by how we give back to people and their communities. This video highlights our efforts in transforming a local school in Los Palos, Dominican Republic by building safe infrastructure and creating spaces where children can learn and play. At our core, we are driven by a purpose: to share, serve, and create value for others. That’s why we donate over 20% of our profits annually to charities and community service organizations. We know that even the smallest action can spark meaningful change. Altogether, giving back is not just a responsibility—it’s a principle we live by—and the work we do in communities like Los Palos reflects our belief that when we come together, we can truly make an impact. #CommunityFirst #GivingBack #CorporateResponsibility

Folks- Your periodic #DisasterResponse reminder to please put the word out to your well-meaning loved ones and networks that CASH IS KING when it comes to how you can help, be it #LAwildfires or #HeleneRelief or any disaster. Your trash, or even items you *think* are helpful, actually create a logistical burden/nightmare. Your trash is NOT someone (in need)'s treasure! Good options include: Team Rubicon - American Red Cross - World Central Kitchen - Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation #SendCashNotTrash #DisasterManagement #DisasterRelief
To meaningfully support victims of the #LAFires, now is the time to donate MONEY to your favorite local charity. Do not clean out your closet, send a teddy bear, or setup a supply drive at this time. Cash fuels smart, real-time decisions and doesn't add to the chaos of an already immense tragedy. That time will come. Consider donating to Team Rubicon or signing up to #volunteer. I feel very lucky to work with the hospitality industry. It such a collaborative and fun sector to be involved in. What never ceases to amaze me about those in the industry, is that, despite the widely reported and significant challenges the sector continues to face, they remain committed to regularly coming together to support great causes, whether or not related to hospitality. Last week, Clarke & Son Solicitors again took part in the annual Drinks Trade Regatta, which raised a significant sum for charity. On 6th June we will be taking part in the London Bridge Walk, organised by our friends at Beds and Bars Group. This year, the walk will raise funds for AWARE Scotland. AWARE Scotland is a charity that believe that all children, regardless of their life experience, backgrounds and needs, have the right to happiness and the opportunity to self-develop. They help the most in need to achieve their full potential as valued members of the community. AWARE Scotland provide supported respite breaks focused on physical activity, mental wellbeing, social awareness and fun. Their unique experiences are designed to build confidence and engender lifelong friendships. Their respite care, tailors their activities for the needs of those with additional support requirements, to provide a diverse and inclusive environment for all. I have seen first-hand, the significant difficulties some of my friends face when it comes to finding activities suitable for children with additional needs. With the pandemic and challenging economic conditions, investment into existing and new services is severely depleted. Charities like AWARE Scotland have always played an important role in helping and developing the lives of young people, but their role is becoming increasingly critical to a greater number. Young people today are facing challenges and difficulties we had hoped had been consigned to the past. It has been widely reported that Millennials and Gen Z are likely to be the first generations worse off than their parents. Alarmingly, 2023 statistics showed 30% of children in the UK were living in child poverty and The Resolution Foundation has estimated that, in the short term at least, the number of people in the UK living in absolute poverty will continue to rise, reaching 12 million in 2024/25. Even those not in the direst positions are having to adapt. The sharp increase in cost of living has forced many families to cut back on discretionary spending, including activities and holidays. Looking forward, young people today are faced with increased costs of living and education, higher student and other debt, rents at unprecedented levels and house prices continuing to inflate. I know many of you reading this will have charities and good causes which you support. If you would like to help support this wonderful organisation, any donation, no matter how small, will be appreciated. Plus, I will be stuck with Alex May for the day. Surely that deserves something?
🗓️ On the 6th June, William Anderson and Alex May will join Beds and Bars Group for their Bridge Walk to support Aware Scotland. Aware Scotland believes all young people, regardless of their background, deserve happiness and opportunities for self-development. Their vision is to help those in need achieve their full potential through supported respite breaks and days out focused on physical activity, mental well-being, and fun.
