Some issuers wrongly believe investors will automatically be drawn to their "brilliant" strategy. Regardless of how great your strategy is, you must capture attention before attracting investment. Successful issuers understand the importance of actively marketing their fund and seeking out their next investor. Moreover, actively seeking your next investor is far more rewarding than passively waiting for them to find you.
