I joined CNN-News18 "World 360" with Ayushman Jamwal to discuss the US veto of the #UNSC Resolution calling for an immediate #CeaseFireNow in #Gaza. The United States has vetoed a United Nations Security Council demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the war between Israel and Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza. I appeared on the show along with a Palestinian analyst. Some of the points I made, at least in part in response to his: * that the text of the #Algeria-backed #ceasefire resolution presented to the vote by the #UNSC made no mention of the #Israeli hostages * that the US was well within its rights to veto such a document * that it was indeed a mistake by #Israel to include #Qatar in any part of its process or to hope for any sort of a permanent truce with #Hamas, but that the mistake was made with the good intention of trying to save lives * that everyone is well aware of #Qatar's insidious roles, but those of the Palestinians who are blaming #Israel for #Qatar's deception with #Hamas should feel free to call for a full refund of all the money back to #Qatar and to boycott #Qatar's further assistance; and furthermore, Qatar should not be any part of the process now as it clearly has failed to - perhaps deliberately so - to achieve credible results, or has done so extremely belatedly (also likely deliberately). * That #Israel's response to #Hamas in the form of the prolonged fighting in #Gaza is unavoidable, given that #Hamas uses the same tactics as #Houthis and #Hizbullah to hold its population hostage, use human shields, recruit child soldiers, indoctrinate its population in hatred, rely on assistance from local civilians both on October 7 and afterwards, including in the abductions of hostages, and turn the entire infrastructure of #Gaza including all types of civilian and even residential buildings into #CommandAndControl centers for their fighters as well as entry and exit sites for tunnels used to smuggle hostages, fighters, and weapons. * I explained that we have seen a very similar approach of playing on false sympathies by #Houthis in #Yemen who used the same tactics against the Saudi-led Arab Coalition which should now know better than to attack and condemn #Israel over its response to #Hamas. * I proffered that if the Arab World and the rest of the international community are as concerned about saving Palestinian lives as they profess, they should be joining #Israel and working with #Israel to eliminate #Hamas as quickly as possible and to #demilitarize and #deradicalize #Gaza. #terrorism #counterterrorism #extremism #counterextremism #middleeast #arabworld #thegulf #KSA #SaudiArabia #GCC #maritimesecurity #Yemen #military #security #defense #humanrights #humanrightsviolations #humanitariancrisis #humanitarianaid #humanitarianassistance #foreignpolicy #foreignaffairs #diplomacy #geopolitics #ceasefire

The justification of violence against certain communities is heavily rooted in stereotypical beliefs that obscure the truth of resistance in Gaza. Arabs have often been depicted as the perpetrators of violence and terrorism in the media, perpetuating these beliefs even in fictional portrayals. This widespread idea serves as a defensive mechanism for people globally, fueling actions against Arabs and spreading fear about the community's supposed danger. Consequently, there is an assumption that Hamas, as a Palestinian entity, is inherently violent and in need of immediate eradication. It's almost as though people have forgotten the influence of the media and who controls press releases. Considering that global brands are already sponsoring Israeli arms, one must question what else they're capable of. Claims of women and children being kidnapped and raped lack physical evidence, while there exists overwhelming evidence of centuries of Israeli crimes against Palestinians. My comments on the ongoing war and its implications. Governments in the Middle East are under pressure to address the ongoing escalation in Gaza as the Palestinian issue is a significant political concern for people in the Arab world. However, how governments usually respond to this issue varied depending on the geopolitical and security context, particularly given the differing views on groups like Hamas and Hezbollah among regional powers in the Middle East. The sentiments in the Arab streets show unwavering support for Palestinians enduring brutal attacks. Recent protests and demonstrations in Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, and Tunisia reflect the region's increased tension and widespread anger and frustration. “Bring them Home” makes it appear as if Israel is the only relevant actor. Just like it took a massive campaign to get Russia to loosen its grip on Jews at the end of the 1980s, it may take a massive campaign to get the hostages back home from Gaza if military might alone does not do it. But Bibi and our government are the wrong targets for that campaign. Where should the protests be held? I suggest a few in this article.

The Israel-Palestine conflict, The Russia+allies-Nato conflict, The Sudan civil war and other violent or cold-war conflicts in Africa, the China-Taiwan conflict, the Lebanon-Syrian people conflict. India-Pakistan-Bangladesh. Why don't you just all love each other? Well luckily I trust many of you do. If I have in my network, parties from either side of any such conflicts, then I would like to offer an hour of my time per week per conflict to help solve these. Does that help? Yes if these people want help. If they want war, then I can't help. I have a suggestion; I do not believe in war, from any party at any time. I do not believe in Israel keep attacking in Palestine to disarm Hamas and liberate hostages. The trust from Palestinians towards Israeli may well be non existing, so they may choose to fight for their lives with everything they got, I guess I would. Remaining hostages kept by Hamas is possibly all dead, killed from sheer retaliation to all the Palestine civilians that has been killed in the conflict. Just like Israels attack was in the first place. So where does that leave us humans? Will Israel carry out a mass extinction of Palestinians, and then what country does the world society then donate to the Palestinians? Which people will then be unrelatedly suppressed by the need to solve a "bigger problem" and in turn creating a new problem..? Will Germany still only have the choice to support the wrongdoings of the Israeli's due to the wrongdoings of both the Nazi time Germany and Hamas? No, that does not make sense. What makes sense to me is that rich, high tech and developed Israel offers Palestine and Hamas development of their society, and secondarily the right to the land where they live. A two state solution. Was anything else ever a good idea? This perspective highlights my philosophy of making only the obviously right decisions. Until such decisions be clear, one and all should just wait and do nothing. In a similar way, without any official ceasefire, both Israeli forces and Hamas could stop what they do and do nothing until something stands as obviously right. I will be happy to meet with Danish representatives of any party to elaborate over possibilities. When relations get better, then maybe Israel can remedy the hate that Palestinians seem to have towards them, and maybe vice versa? by offering help and sharing of knowledge plus ressources, to build a good life in Palestine. I reckon it would be a better peace facilitator than an ever escalating war. War is so incredibly unsustainable. I love sustainability and I believe in humankind.
