We recently developed a report on how we can expand and strengthen our approach to nonprofit capacity building. The report found five elements critical to capacity building success. We called them the “5 Cs.” 👇 #Philanthropy #Community #Nonprofit #CapacityBuilding #Learning #NonprofitManagement
We just successfully exited our first grantee after 3 years of deep capacity building work in key areas: leadership, strategy and process improvement. The Boise Bicycle Project has been an amazing learning partner and we look forward to writing up our findings. We’d love some thought partnership with the Walton Foumdation team. This approach works! We are now working with the Jesse Tree team to design their website to support people’s efforts to stay housed. This is hard and rewarding work. Thanks for sharing your learnings!
I'm surprised there wasn't more focus on leadership/staffing, or maybe I missed it. You can have a great mission, but if you don't have the right leader in place at each stage of an organization's life cycle, you may struggle.
Great content here! The mission will always come first for nonprofits and because of that mindset, they need experts to help them drive strategy and plan for the future. 💛
This approach is working from my perspective as a project mentor.
Excellent to see! Was in a team meeting with Fresh Arts today speaking about this subject. I mentioned your organization. Thank you for the great work you all are doing! 🙏
We agree!
