Further cementing the fact that most Americans do think acting on climate is important, a recent CBS News and YouGov poll finds that 70% of surveyed individuals believe the U.S. needs to take action to combat climate change. More than half of respondents believe that action needs to happen "right now". With extreme weather events occurring more frequently, more and more Americans are increasingly concerned and motivated to address climate change. Unsurprisingly, younger people, those under 45, are most strongly represented among those who feel we should act now. Even among younger republicans, over 60 percent of those under 45 favor the U.S. taking steps to reduce climate change. Learn more about the poll results here: https://lnkd.in/gMjrzr5r

It's not rocket science, governments have a clear responsibility to mitigate climate change and this shows are clear mandate to do that instead of supporting further #fossilfuel investment. #climatetech could benefit from simple tax breaks, low tax jurisdictions. Europe's EU ETS scheme, instead of just being a simply 'get of jail free card', should be a valuable source of direct investment in CO2e. Why not buy tonnes of biochar? It's an IPCC approved negative emissions technology offering carbon removal permenance.
