Using my passion for film as a driving force for change. To make companies, organisations, and people feel good about who they truly are and deliver it sympathetically
It is so simple....🌳🌿 No matter how many times it has been said getting outside, in nature, is just so beneficial. For nearly 2 years, I've volunteered with the Bournemouth National Trust Volunteers and every moment outdoors reaffirms the incredible impact of nature. 🌟 This Sunday, I joined a fantastic team of 15 at Brownsea Island, partnering with a National Trust park ranger to support their Countryside Stewardship scheme. 🏞️ Our tasks include trimming invasive rhododendrons and selectively thinning trees (not chopping them down!) to allow more light for heather growth. Heather, a vital habitat rarer than rainforests, holds immense importance for Brownsea's ecosystem. If not managed properly, it could succumb to tree species like Scots pine and birch. 🌲 Moreover, heathlands play a crucial role in carbon storage, boasting some of the highest levels per unit area among habitats. Protecting these areas is not only vital for biodiversity but also critical for maintaining carbon stocks. 🌍 Below is a short film I have created highlighting the beauty of the island and the work we carry out. Enjoy. Ps. By the way, I'm currently seeking opportunities to produce more video content for organizations involved in nature conservation. Equipped with the necessary tools and expertise, I'm eager to collaborate on projects that raise awareness for important causes. Feel free to reach out and connect if you have an engaging project in mind! 🎥 #NatureConservation #Volunteering #BrownseaIsland #Biodiversity #CarbonStorage #nationaltrust #conservation #greenplanet https://lnkd.in/de2CTDkB

A small but important step in our decarbonisation and a huge step in keeping our harbour litter free.
Let us introduce you to Corbie, our new electric trash skimmer! Sit back and watch this video in which Pamela Neri MBA and Henry Wibberley explain how Corbie facilitates: ✅ The continued decarbonisation of Harbour operations ✅ Keeping the marine environment free of surface debris ✅ More effective and efficient Harbour operations Importantly, the introduction of Corbie (named after one of the Houses at Fraserburgh Academy) is also a great opportunity for us to teach local school children of all ages about the effects of marine litter - and we had great fun working with the Academy when it came to proposing the vessel's name! Our thanks go to the Scottish Government's Marine Directorate for providing us with the funding to revolutionise marine litter collection. #ports #environment #decarbonisation

Less roads = less cars... ✅ More cycling infrastructure = more cycling ✅ More safe walkable routes = more walking ✅ All of the above = healthy, sustainable, communities. ✅
Walk along the banks of Utrecht’s Catharijnesingel today, and it’s hard to imagine it was a 12-lane-wide asphalt canyon just a few years ago. Rather than bury or detour the motorway, planners simply deleted it; knowing the motor traffic would just evaporate and be replaced by people.

A big shout out to the great folks at Oyster Boys, a 501C(3) group that we work with on bay restoration. One of the founders of Oyster Boys, Dom Marino, works in the field of assisted living facilities. In this video, he highlights their efforts to engage folks with dementia and/or Alzheimer's in the construction of Vertical Oyster Gardens (VOGs) to be put out in Sarasota Bay. The bay benefits by having more of these VOGs to be used to help with our water quality issues, and the residents get to have some focused activities that give their day a bit more purpose than it might have otherwise. What we end up with is a win-win-win situation. The bay gets FREE VOGs to put out (or we can point you to a vendor who can help out with deployment), taxpayers save money because volunteers are putting these together, not paid staff, and the residents get to do something different - knowing that they are helping to sustain our bay's ongoing recovery. To be successful in recovering our bay's water quality and ecosystem health, we need to continue to look for these types of opportunities to get more people engaged in bay restoration.
