In a changing world hiring of competent, and motivated employees is an important priority to an organization. Therefore, marketing or branding is profitable to every organization to generate an income. This is can arguably be regarded as a marketing department task. The reality is social media, is our virtual world. Our Job/Work opportunity is part of our daily lives, what we do inspire our community. How do you build an cohesive, ambitious, empathetic, and high performing team? You buy matching bikes & go on 40km rides in Nordmarka before work, of course 🚲. Just kidding, it's slightly more complicated than that but at Curipod, team building activities such as biking in the forest or taking walks during the day while sparring are a very important part of building a high trust and performing working culture! For example, on today's ride we were able to spend time discussing high level strategy thinking about future product investments (Frikk), building out content (Jens), and product led sales strategy (Lexi). It's well known that sales and growth often pull in opposite directions, so taking the time to really understand all perspectives helps us empathize with each other on the difficult hard problems we are solving AND then move with even more speed once we're back in the office. If you’re hiring a team, you’re doing so because you want (need) additional support in your business. Whether that’s emotional support and collaboration or to take some tasks off your plate, you and your business need to be getting some sort of return on this new investment. The ROI you receive could be financial, but it can also be time–depending on what role you’re actually hiring for. Both are incredibly valuable. But measuring ROI of a team member can be a slippery slope, especially when some roles don’t directly impact sales and revenue.
