YA-YA Network’s Post

This summer has been incredibly fulfilling. I am so grateful for the YAYA Network and the New Roots Institute! I am so grateful for the YAYA Institute hosting an awesome summer growing experience. Kudos to Divine Soona Gertrude N., Aya, Shaktii, Amy Wagner, Jerry Chen, Destiny Davis, Mulan, Ben, and Noah for being amazing mentors. I have learned a ton through all the organizing work and the people at YAYA. The Summer Institute is one of the most memorable growth-oriented summer experiences I have ever had. Endless thanks to you all. I appreciate the New Roots Institute, the former Factory Farming Awareness Coalition, for the summer growing experience. I have dug deeper into the intricacy and unethicality of factory farming and possible ways to mitigate or even solve some of the issues. Kudos to Claire for the quick replies. Kudos to Monica Chen for the advice and connections to my alternative protein obsession. Kudos to Kiely Smith for hosting community events. Kudos to the New Roots team for creating such a rich and comprehensive curriculum. Grateful for Accountability Group making sure we are growing and sharing our daily headaches and wins with each other. Special thanks to Jeffrey, Eugene, and Willian.
