There are many ways to enhance our wellbeing: take a coffee break, drink some water, step away from your screen regularly or maybe learn to meditate (still working on that one!). However, wellness can also come from emptying the mind of all the things we have to remember, recall, and rectify on a daily basis. Having a physical word dump (paper or online, your choice!) is a great way of reducing stress levels without forgetting everything you have to do. As August begins, I’m taking a moment to reflect on the past month and set my intentions for the new month ahead. August is National Wellness Month, a perfect time to focus on self-care, personal growth, and overall well-being. July was a month filled with growth and learning. Whether it was achieving professional milestones or making strides in my wellness journey, each experience has shaped me and prepared me for what’s next. I’m grateful for the challenges faced and the lessons learned, as they’ve provided valuable insights that I’ll carry forward. I ask this because many people can quickly share wonderful compliments about a celebrity, mentor, friend or someone that they adore in general but not about themselves. Did you know that negative self-talk and imposter beliefs impact our overall wellness? Yes friends, when we don’t spend time identifying and communicating within ourselves how phenomenal we really are, the brain connects and makes the negative residence and a priority in our thought life. The world pours negativity in abundance- joining in on the world’s conversation has consequences to our health and wellness. So how can we practice esteeming ourselves? Glad that you asked friend!
