With over 30 years of experience at the FAA, AIR COMPANY’s Mark Rumizen is highly regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on aviation fuel. For our first SAF School piece, Mark sat with award-winning journalist, climate advocate and UN Human Rights Champion Sophia Li to explain the importance of the aviation industry making the switch to SAF. While flying is a massive contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, it’s also an integral part of our lives. Adopting SAF lets us keep flying without the massive carbon footprint. Watch the whole conversation and learn more about SAF's potential impact on AIR.Index. https://lnkd.in/edk8w9-i

This week's Carbon Analysis is up on the Aviation Week Network site. Again put together by William Moore, this week it looks at the emissions effects the regional feeder carriers have on the big three US legacy carriers (American Airlines, Delta Air Lines & United Airlines)....newsflash...they are not that helpful for emissions with a large number of lower seat number jet aircraft increasing their CO2/ASK. #Aviation #sustainability #emissions #CO2uesday https://lnkd.in/eyevyajj

Aviation Regulatory Update: April 30, 2024. The FAA announced on April 26 a new rule to reduce carbon particle emissions from aircraft engines. The rule sets limits on the amount of emissions allowed and is intended to reduce the impact of contrails on the climate. The rule is aligned with international standards and will help achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Read more from the FAA and check out the new rule here: https://lnkd.in/gNpyr5v2

The last decade has presented many challenges in aviation that affect costs, overall flight efficiency, and also sustainability issues. Flight operation efficiency is the primary objective at airBaltic, and one of the ways this can be achieved is through the optimum use of jet fuel. But fuel efficiency is just one aspect of a bigger picture. 👉 Read Baltic Outlook for more details about our efforts in keeping pace with flight efficiency: tiny.cc/ncnsvz
