The transaction involved $2.27 billion in cash and 50.8 million common units. WTG's assets include a 9,656 km pipeline network, eight gas processing plants with a capacity of 1.3 billion cubic feet per day, and a 20% interest in the BANGL Pipeline. Despite facing headwinds, the industry proved its resilience and demonstrated its massive economic impact in 2023. The growth in well-paying jobs shows the sector's importance for domestic energy security and meeting global demand. The Texas Oil and Gas Association reported a significant increase of 4,500 upstream jobs in March, the highest monthly growth since June 2011. Since September 2020, the industry has added 39,500 upstream jobs, averaging 940 jobs per month, with salaries averaging over $124,000 annually. This job growth supports Texas communities, U.S. energy security, and global stability.

If you specialize in oil and gas asset management, then you need to keep these two things in mind when searching for a new job: 1) Numbers speak louder than words. Especially if you're interested in working for private equity firms, data will speak volumes when it comes to showing - rather than just telling - what sets you apart from the competition. And you WILL need to stand apart from the competition since this line is work is so competitive. Focus on quantifying ROI and break down your M&A project experience. 2) Your titles will be wonky. It will be rare for you to see a job title that's right on the nose and has 'asset management' in the title. Instead, many of your ideal titles may look like this: Senior Associate, M&A Director of Business Development Commercial Advisor Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning Typically, technical production and reservoir skills are mixed in as well.
