Did the Simpsons predict the Apple Vision Pro?! Nope. This episode released in 2016. The oculus also was released in 2016. We were promised virtual reality goggles decades before 2016. But I will give them credit for nailing the look, the tether cable and the black front. Follow Gourav Sharma for more tech stuff. #ai #tech #vr #apple #applevisionpro

“The killer app for spatial computing will be powered by volumetric video. Computing is moving into 3D, so video will too. To us, the direction of travel is obvious. What might not be obvious, however, is that the way we interact with the content will also significantly change.” In our latest blog, CEO Nick Fellingham reflects on the inevitable future of media and how we’ve reached a tipping point with the Apple Vision Pro. For years computers have been 2D, yet our world is 3D. Now, so is live video. One of the core areas of excitement about spatial computing and the Apple Vision Pro, is live volumetric video. Imagine being on the stage at the halftime show at this year’s Superbowl and then later being in the end-zone for the game-winning touchdown? Read Condense CEO Nick Fellingham's thoughts on the inevitable future of media and to experience the amazing performances of Lady Leshurr and others in Studio 5 https://lnkd.in/exe-aQAT

Spatial content inside the Vision Pro is absolutely breathtaking. But the thing that really struck me about the device is how nice it feels to consume traditional 2D content. What this means for media companies is that the number of people consuming their content using spatial computing is going to exponentially increase over the coming years regardless of whether they engage with the format or not. It will be interesting to see who just lets their content be passively consumed and who innovates and grabs the opportunity. Read my thoughts on the future of media below. 👇 #spatialcomputing #volumetricvideo #futureofmedia #media #videostreaming

Does #Apple's #VisionPro turn the game around? Here is what people google. One sees that Apple's anouncements made a big impact, much bigger than the anouncements for the #Quest3, but interest now - in daily business - is about half as big as interest in the Quest. Does that say something about the future of both #VRGlasses? Yes and no. It at least tells a story of Apple being not as good with their glasses as one would expect from them. Reasons could be: unpractical to use (too front heavy), no eco system, no controllers, PRIZE. As a user of the Quest eco system, I am surprised about the reviewers of VisionPro - praising Apple for things that are standard in the Quest - but I am happy that there comes another player to the party, keeping #VR alive after the much probable death of #Sony's VR glasses. What do you thing, do you use #VR or #AR glasses?

Hey LinkedIn Fam! Remember those clunky VR headsets? Apple just dropped the Vision Pro, and it's basically a magic trick! ✨ No more bulky gear, just holograms dancing in your living room. But is it just a cool toy, or is Apple onto something big? I think the latter! Imagine: Learning history with dinos stomping around you! Designing clothes with friends in a virtual studio! Attending concerts with holographic singers right in front of you! This could be a game-changer, but let's be real: Not everyone can afford it. Will it make us glued to screens even more? How will they keep our info safe? These are valid concerns, but if Apple gets it right, the Vision Pro could revolutionize the way we learn, work, and experience the world. So, what do YOU think? Is the Vision Pro the future, or just a passing fad? Let's chat in the comments! #applevisionpro #apple #futureofai #vr #technews

Fresh details from Apple reveals that the Vision Pro headset will provide up to 24 hours of general use and 30 hours of video playback. Fascinating, but we'll reserve judgment until we've put this to the test. _________________________________________________ If you liked this post, don't miss our weekly email to subscribers. https://lnkd.in/dNJgnv5Q #apple #visionpro #batterylife #vr #ar #virtualreality #virtualrealityexperience #augmentedreality #augmentedintelligence #spatialcomputing
