Enthusiastic teachers, students, and graduates are the core of the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS)! 👏
Yesterday, I completed the second part of the course I teach at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), as part of the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS). This opportunity stems from my role at the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT). Preparing students to engage with Official Statistics is a responsibility that comes with unique challenges—but it’s also an incredible source of happiness and fulfillment. It’s inspiring to see the potential of these future statisticians as they prepare to contribute to evidence-based policies and informed decision-making. In a rapidly evolving world, where advances in information technology and the modernization of tools are transforming the field, it’s vital to equip students with the mindset to adapt and thrive. I am deeply grateful to Athanasios C. Thanopoulos and Apostolos Kasapis for providing me with this opportunity. * Georgia Lytra your organizing skills are priceless. ** Olav ten Bosch thanks for your help :) #Teaching #OfficialStatistics #EMOS #AristotleUniversity #StatisticsEducation
