#Fragrance innovation has always been inspired by exploring new ways to capture the essence of nature, but the industry is now rising to the occasion to protect itself. As we experience more heat waves and droughts on a global level, causing diminished harvests and even extinction for some plant species, many brands are now focusing on preserving and recreating the unique experiences of endangered natural environments - in a perfume bottle. —Saving Our Seas: Understanding the Urgency of the Ocean Crisis— 🌊Have you heard of the ocean crisis? In recent years, the media has reported extensively on issues related to the marine ecosystem, such as whale strandings, coral bleaching, the sharp decline in penguin populations, overfishing, and plastic pollution. These problems highlight the fact that the ocean environment is in crisis, a situation closely linked to climate change. 🩵The ocean has always been a source of endless treasures and food for humanity, while also playing a crucial role in mitigating climate change. Even seemingly insignificant organisms like phytoplankton produce over 50% of the Earth's oxygen. Small creatures like krill feed on phytoplankton, and the carbon absorbed by phytoplankton moves through the food chain, ultimately being stored in the bodies of top predators like whales. When whales die, this carbon sinks to the ocean floor, locking it away in the deep sea. 🌟This post aims to raise awareness of the issues facing the marine environment by exploring the ocean crisis from a professional perspective, hoping to encourage more people to protect marine ecosystems. I hope this content will draw your attention to the problems facing our oceans and inspire you to join in protecting our precious marine environment. #Fethiann® #Biotechnology #Fethiannglobal #FMO® #Magnoliafigo #FLC® #Litseacubeba #Lifescience #Skincare #Cosmetics #NaturalExtract #Foodandtea #Augest #2024 #Sea #Oceancrisis #Marineecosystem #Enterprise #費生恩生技股份

World Environment Day!? It started in year 1973 by UN when we had not understood completely the climate crisis and it wasnt probably seen as a hightened risk. Idea was to generate awareness about ecosystems health. But now - we are in climate urgency! I mean real urgency - where temperatures are soaring record time high, climatic chaos is a global phenomenon and seasons never follow its pattern. With current situation every day and moment has to be an Environment Day and every action should consider and priortise the environment, mother earth, biodiversity and ecology…….similar to Mothers day! #worldenvironmentday #sustainability # Integrating Corporate Sustainability #climatecrisis #climatechange

Climate change, man-made changes to nature as well as crimes that disrupt biodiversity, such as deforestation, land-use change, intensified agriculture and much more, can accelerate the speed of destruction of the planet. 🌎 As wienerberger, operating in 28 countries, we are determined to assume responsibility for people and nature and ensure that future generations have the same opportunities as we have today! ➡ Read more in our #sustainabilityprogram: https://lnkd.in/d4hgeUur #worldofwienerberger #InternationalMotherEarthDay

It's #WorldFoodDay! The ocean has nourished us for thousands of years, and billions of people rely on it for food and livelihoods. But the ocean's ability to feed us is now threatened by climate change, pollution, overfishing, and biodiversity loss. Ensuring that the ocean can continue to sustainably feed the global population is an #OceanDecade priority, and the focus of Challenge 3. As part of the Ocean Decade, scientists from around the world are researching how to optimise the role of the ocean in sustainably feeding the world’s population. This knowledge is now captured in our new #Vision2030 White Paper on Challenge 3, which outlines a set of recommendations to sustainably feed the global population. Have you heard the term Biodiversity? Simply Biological Diversity, it's the variety of living things on our planet. It is declining faster than at anytime in human history. In the historical deal known as Global Biodiversity Framework, almost 200 countries pledged to protect 30% of the planet by 2030 to allow nature to flourish. Climate issues are global issues but biodiversity and caring for the ocean are all local. As a follow up to 5 June WED2024, 8 June being World Ocean Day is no coincidence as it reminds us that there is no single solution to the climate challenge. Instead, we have an interlocking of solutions blueprints that fit together. Protect Life on Land and don't ignore Life below Water. #SDG14target1 #ReduceMarinePollution #LifeBelowWater #WorldOceanDay2024 #OurClimateLiteracyStory

Atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases are at all-time highs. We have lost two-thirds of species in the past 60 years of industrialization. On World Biodiversity Day, we look at what needs to change — and how.

Climate Change is real: It can cause long term shifts and alterations in temperature and weather patterns. In today's world we can see visible impacts of climate change. The most notable ones include: 1. Rising Global Temperatures 2. Extreme Weather Events 3. Rising Sea levels 4. Untimely changes in weather patterns 5. Ecosystem Disruptions and extinction of species While we all see this happening at a higher frequency, what we must also acknowledge is that it requires action on a personal level. Climate change has already caused some permanent damage including: 1. 1.1°C increase in overall global temperature 2. 12% Higher GHG Emissions (6.5GTC02e) than 2010 and 54% (21GTCO2e) than 1990 3. Increasing average rate of sea level rise from 1.7mm per year to 3.7mm per year 4. 3.6 Billion people have become ecologically vulnerable 5. 15 times higher mortality from storms, heat waves, drought etc Data source: IPCC Report 2023 Where do you find yourself contributing, is a question you must ask today.

Today, on #International Day of #Forests its important to know that this is an opportunity to celebrate Forest. This ecosystems provides substantial benefits for #People, #Nature and #Climate. For people they impact the #health and #welbeing by providing food, medicine, clean air and water. For nature forest plays a pivotal role in maintaining and conserving #biodiversity (inhabiting the majority of our planet's biodiversity) and for climate forest helps to mitigate climate change by storing vast amount of #carbon. #Agricultural expansion stands as a major driver of #deforestation and forest #degradation and demands for more lands and resources puts this vital ecosystem at risk. It is therefore important for #policy makers to identify areas of highest risks and as well the key drivers responsible for these risks so #technology and #innovation is paramount. #Protecting and #sustainably managing this vital ecosystem is invaluable for a healthy planet. #WorldForestDay #InternationalDayofForest #Biodiversity #Carbonstorage #Peoplewelbeing #Protectforest #Restorforest

By 2050, we will have more plastic than fish in the ocean. Biodiversity loss poses an existential threat comparable to climate change, profoundly affecting the economy and business. With 69% of species lost in the past 50 years and an additional one million under threat, the consequences for ecosystem services, which contribute over $44 trillion annually to global GDP, are significant. On World Biodiversity Day, learn why biodiversity matters to business and 5 things to be done now with Adrian Dellecker: https://bit.ly/44PBN5F #IMDImpact #IbyIMD #Biodiversity

🌊 The ocean sustains life on Earth, helps regulate climate and supports biodiversity. Covering 70% of our planet's surface and providing 50% of our oxygen, it's clear that we need to prioritize its protection. Technology is vital to enabling more sustainable ocean industries and mangement practices, but we must also continue to tackle the most pressing marine environmental challenges collectively. That's why it was a tremendous privilege to connect with the ocean community this week and represent AVEVA at the 9th Our Oceans Conference. Let's continue to work together to ensure the health and sustainability of our oceans for generations to come. #OurOceansConference #Climate&Oceans #SustainableBlueEconomy
