Present a video about contemporary times in 90's-early 2000's. Explain what is the significance of the game/food/ style/movie that you want to recommend for younger students. Tumbang preso, also known as "Prisoner's Fall," is a traditional Filipino game where players try to knock down a designated "prisoner" by throwing a ball. It's a fun, active game that promotes teamwork, strategy, and physical activity, making it a great way to connect with friends and family and stay active in our digital age. Give it a try and rediscover the joy of traditional games! Submitted to: Mr. Alvin Advincula

I didn't expect it to break the record again so soon, especially before the weekend. I just spent 10 hours finishing chapter one. It's a masterpiece and my game of the year. The only drawback is that my PS5 couldn't showcase the best visual quality. You need an Nvidia RTX 4090 to power it fully. Nvidia has significantly supported this startup game studio, allowing Game Science to utilize many Nvidia-exclusive technologies to enhance performance on Nvidia platforms such as DLSS and Full Ray Tracing. Nvidia's international promotion of the game serves as an excellent showcase of its GPU and AI features, undoubtedly boosting its gaming GPU sales. Black Myth: Wukong will be a collective memory for a generation of gamers.

Another day, another new concurrent player record. This game appears to have legs. For three consecutive days now, Black Myth: Wukong has broken its own peak concurrent player record on Steam, with the latest count reaching 2,415,714 players simultaneously. On launch day, the game initially set a peak of 2,223,179 concurrent players, securing its place as a new benchmark for single-player titles and achieving the second-highest player count in Steam's history. The game is currently still the highest game in all of Steam worldwide.

🎮 New Blog Post: "Black Myth: Wukong | Reflection: From a Game Design and Playtesting Perspective" Black Myth Wukong has been a phenomenal hit—at least to me, who grew up in a Chinese cultural context. While it has a few flaws, it's not far from being a masterpiece, and I was a bit sad to see it didn’t draw as much attention among my Western network, so I’m excited to share my latest blog post analyzing its game design! I applied Jesse Schell's renowned playtest technique to dissect this highly anticipated title. In my review, I focused on 4 of the 6 key questions (FFWWDD) from Jesse's method: - What was your Favorite moment? - What was the most Frustrating moment? - What would you change if you had a magic Wand? - Was there anything you Wanted to do but couldn't? These questions helped me reflect deeply on the game mechanics, my player experience, and potential solutions for improvement. It's the same approach I always use when hosting playtests for my own games, providing valuable insights from both a player's and a designer's perspective. Check out the full post to see how this methodology revealed intriguing aspects of Black Myth: Wukong's design. https://lnkd.in/eKgR_Ei8 #GameDesign #BlackMythWukong #PlaytestTechniques #GameAnalysis

Black Myth: Wukong Desperately Needs One Game Mode In An Update Black Myth: Wukong nails the challenging action game experience in a lot of core regards, but one reasonably simple addition could highlight the game's strengths and give the game a healthy dose of extra enjoyment. At the moment, plenty of Black Myth: Wukong players are still in the middle of its story, which can take a good chunk of time to complete thanks to bosses that don't go down on the first try. Throw in plenty of secret areas to find and additional enemies to fight, and there's a lot more to do than just run straight to the end. https://lnkd.in/gKZgVnFf

Present a video about contemporary times in 90's-early 2000's. Explain what is the significance of the game/food/ style/movie that you want to recommend for younger students. Hi everyone, I have something to share with you, this is One of the best and the most amusing game that I've ever played in my childhood days is the Filipino traditional game called 'Holen' can be also called as 'Jolens', Holen is a tiny ball made out of a glass or a marble material. It also has a different color and designs, so each player can easily distinguish their own favorite or their front running holen or the what so called 'Pamato'. Another one that I'm going to introduce, is a Traditional Game, which I usually did. Chinese Garter, a game requiring flexibility, adjust and coordination, is a famous game for Filipino kids, amid their elementary years. Chinese garter, also known as "tinikling," is a traditional Filipino game. Playing Chinese garter reminds us of the joy and adventure that can be found in the simplest of things Don't miss to try this one at least even though we are now facing the new generation at least you've try what does it feel to play and it will remind your childhood days. Black Myth: Wukong Series Pt. 3: Benchmarking & PC A unique aspect of Black Myth versus other AAA premium games is that, given an expected outsized Chinese player population for a premium game, and given that player population is overwhelmingly on PC, Game Science has a strong incentive to ensure the PC version of Black Myth is highly optimized and that this is communicated to players early. This is very different from say genre frontrunner Elden Ring, which had a notoriously poorly optimized PC version at release. And more generally, most AAA premium open world titles have very poor PC optimization at launch. Enter Black Myth's Benchmark Tool released 2 days ago on Steam. The free tool peaked at 85,000 concurrent users - no slouch! The tool allows users to adjust all graphical settings - including DLAA, ray tracing, resolution, texture quality, view distance, etc. - in the engine in a cinematic scene and observe performance. The cinematic scene mostly consists of a camera winding its way down a river and through a coniferous forest with NPCs milling about. Having watched a number of analyses by YouTube influencers, the consensus seems to be that the max settings for Black Myth challenge top-end RTX 4090 hardware with noticeable framerate drops, etc., but that the game in near-max settings is more than visually adequate and performative. This indicates that perhaps Black Myth is meant to be even further enjoyed with future hardware advancement. In all, if the benchmark is comparable to loads experienced in the game, Black Myth PC version seems promisingly stable and visually appealing for next week's launch. The tool has received positive feedback from reviewers and influencers, who are unused to being given such a tool prior to a game's launch. The top comment on Steam touts that this tool, if representative of the game at launch, should become an industry norm (unlikely). This is I believe a positive public relations move by Game Science to derisk suspicions of a rocky, unpolished launch for a highly ambitious but untested AAA product. One of the big question marks is just how many Chinese players will be converted at game launch. At RMB 268 (USD ~$35), this is a pretty expensive proposition for a gamer culture that overwhelmingly plays F2P, but if ever there were a watershed moment Black Myth would seem to be it. If millions of Chinese convert, it is likely that a majority of Black Myth players will be PC - a huge break from the industry standard of usually ~70% sales on PS + Xbox and < 30% PC sales for AAA RPGs. If so, this will have major downstream effects on the development and marketing of AAA premium games that have high potential to convert Chinese gamers. This may end up a bigger industry story itself than imminent success of Black Myth. #gamedev #development #gaming #gameindustry #rpg #optimization

This weekend, I made this small minigame from the AkakuVerse, AKAKU TOWER, the classic game where you try to build the tallest tower possible. For a game that was made very quickly and is quite small, there's something that makes me feel really proud: the global ranking system. Let me explain. I usually program in Construct 3, and many of you know that multiplayer, leaderboards, and any online functionality don't have the best processing capabilities. But I found a way to make it work without servers (more or less), without addons or plugins, and the implementation is super simple: Google Sheets. This discovery has been the peak of those little tricks the user doesn't notice, but that make me feel like I’ve hacked something XD. There are tons of extra steps—collecting scores, data, sorting, etc.—but the thing is, it's automatic and super simple to do. It's a bit of a niche pride, but the adaptability and how easy it is to export this to the rest of our projects fills me with satisfaction. Just a small anecdote, but you can try it out at GATO as always, on all platforms (PC, Android, iOS...) https://lnkd.in/dYGqcThq
