We had a great time meeting the talented engineering students of LJ University. Our campus drive saw participation from a total of 140 students. It’s always a delight returning to this esteemed institution and connecting with such promising candidates. A sincere thanks to Manish Gaharwar and the entire placement department for making the process smooth, and run without a hitch. We value our ongoing relationship with LJ University and look forward to the opportunities ahead. #gatewaygroup #campusdrive #campushiring #campusrecruitment #ljuniversity #futureleaders #hiringseason #itjobs #placementdrive

How will Ohio train thousands of workers for the rapidly growing semiconductor industry, despite limited access to formal cleanroom facilities? Creativity and Innovation! After weeks of planning, designing, building, and refining, we were excited to pilot the first version of our mobile mock cleanroom! Kudos to the dedicated Pathways to Semiconductor Career Summer Program students at Kent State (list in comments) for bringing this innovative, hands-on teaching resource to life. This is allowing the program to offer to high-school students insight into cleanroom environments without the need for a formal cleanroom. A huge thanks to Greg Mlynar for providing feedback and guidance to help refine their first prototype! This project tackles two key objectives: 1. Teaching: Providing students with a hands-on cleanroom experience. 2. Delivering a Solution: Developing a plan for a scalable, cost-effective solution to enhance cleanroom education resources statewide. We are incredibly excited about this first prototype and the opportunities it brings! #MobileMockCleanroom #KSUSemiconductor #Innovation #EducationSolutions #HandsOn #SemiconductorSummer

Dartmouth College, Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth students and alumni interested in research, academia, and STEM, check out this thorough list of opportunities hosted by CPD partner The Edge Consortium (https://lnkd.in/eCf9Xurc). The Edge Consortium is a group of women presidents and deans of the nation’s leading research universities and schools of engineering, working collaboratively to transform semiconductor-related education to be more accessible and aligned with industry workforce needs. The EDGE Consortium recognizes that the goals of the CHIPS and Science Act – to boost US competitiveness, innovation and national security in the global semiconductor landscape – won’t be achieved unless historically marginalized groups are included from the start, so we are committed to doubling the number of industry-ready women and people of color for semiconductor-related careers. https://lnkd.in/eSm-3DJy

As the back-to-school season starting this week, Marvell Technology Vietnam had the opportunity to organize a Career Orientation Panel Sharing session with 200 1st year students in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, in partnership with VNUHCM - University of Science (HCMUS). This year is quite special as the university welcome their first intake of the newly launched IC Design program to develop future talents in the semiconductors field, which has been a hot topic in Vietnam the past year. It is important to have an initial career conversation with students to ensure they understand what it takes to be successful in this field, hence our very first session to engage with the students. It was an honor for me to moderate this session in presence with our Marvell Vietnam General Director - Mr. Quang-Dam Le, Senior Staff Manager Analog IC Design - Mr. Mai-Khanh Nguyen and our former intern and current Analog IC Design Engineer - Ms. Nhi Tran, who's also an alumna from HCMUS. We got to learn more about each of our panelist's special career journey, how they navigated their university life transition from high school, and best practices in studying. We also talked about the overview of semiconductors field, how to develop the right mindset and skillset from the start, finding experiences from school projects, extracurricular activities and especially an internship in the future. The session ended with fun and interactive quizzes about Marvell, as well as many curious questions from students seek tips and advice on how to prepare for their future careers. I would say it was very impressive to see students asking about how to prepare CV, interview tips or even finding internship when they just got started university life. My message for all the 1st year students is focusing on enjoying your university learning journey, understanding yourself better in terms of characteristics, career interests, intrinsic values and most importantly, doing well in school so you can have a strong foundation moving forward. #marvellvietnam #onemarvell #careerorientation #careerdevelopment #icdesign #semiconductors #backtoschool #hcmus

If you're on campus today for Preview Day at Michigan Technological University, welcome! Our main mission is to support you in your education. As an engineer, you will do life-changing, challenging, fulfilling work. It's worth noting that engineering degrees have a strong ROI in terms of salary, as well. Nine of the top 16 rankings for college majors with the highest income are engineering degrees, according to a recent New York Federal Reserve study. https://lnkd.in/gXpSCuyw Job placement among MTU engineering grads is high, too. The average is about 95 percent and often even higher. What’s on your mind? No question is too large or too small. #engineering #michigantech #engineeringstudent

You're Singing the Song of My People.... ..."“The last 10 years has seen a 10% drop in male enrollment in higher ed,” says David Michael Phelps, president of Harmel Academy of the Trades, based in Grand Rapids, Mich. “Some [colleges] are saying: ‘We’ve got to get our enrollment numbers up. We better think a little more about what we offer.’ But notice what's happening there. They're not saying, ‘Why did they leave?’” ..."And with what people are increasingly telling high schoolers: Eighty percent of Americans would recommend the skilled trades as a top career choice when advising younger generations, according to the 2024 3M State of Science Insights report. That’s ahead of STEM jobs (75%) and green jobs (70%)." Read the article in full: https://lnkd.in/e2y7wMUC Interested in what a Career Circuit in the electrical industry can offer? With National Engineers Week in full stride (celebrated the third week of February), there is no better time to learn more about engineers and their impact on society. National Engineers week is one of the largest STEM events of the year in the United States and has millions of participants (mainly students) across the nation. Its intent is to celebrate the accomplishments of engineers, technicians, and technologists while also introducing K-12 students to engineering career paths. The festivities during the week include open houses (engineering companies and organizations open their doors to the public to show what engineers do), award ceremonies, school outreach programs and extensive media coverage. Not only do I have the privilege of speaking with engineers regularly, I have been able to learn so much about their impact on the world through learning about them personally and helping companies find talented engineers. Their impact on our daily lives range from anything such as the use of our vehicles, phones and appliances to massive improvements in health and wellness. The world would be a totally different place if there were no engineers, and I for one, am extremely grateful for their impact. #Engineering #Engineer #Engineers #NationalEngineersWeek #EngineeringWeek #EngineersWeek #Technology #SCN #Consulting #Recruiting

Training for new generation critical tech jobs - the latter part of this article discusses the Purdue University DoD SCALE program for semiconductors. Would have been nice to see the great workforce training work that Ivy Tech Community College, Vincennes University and others are doing in Indiana. #semiconductors #microelectronics #workforcedevelopment https://lnkd.in/gM4sk9AY?
